I recently bought a few trolls and one had a banner that was removable and one banner was glued into place. One was broken.

Does anyone else have a troll with a removable banner? I would like to get two with removable banners.

I got two trolls and the both had broken banners. They did not make the troll with a removable banner.

That sucks. I hope that the new creatures and dragons are much better quality then the Troll. The troll was DOW's baby. An ugly thing at that too.

Mine had a glued banner as well. But with enough hot, soapy water (applied to the base of the figure only) and careful twisting it eventually came off. And yeah - that critter is hard enough to paint even without the flag on.

My brother, thinking it was removable, removed it forcefully. I still need to superglue it back on.

The troll that I have with a removable banner was not glued at all. There was no different between it and any other figure.

Is the troll a different plastic than the other pieces in the game then? Why is it so weak?

yeah I broke mine just by keeping it with the rest of my figurines. And I've tried to superglue it twice, and it's broken back off twice from people picking up the troll by the banner.

I'm thinking maybe somehow getting a super hot needle, and boring a hole into the base and the banner staff, and then gluing them together with some rebar support??

Looks and feels exactly the same as all other figures to me. However, you have to consider that there is quite some preassure applied to the base of the flag when pushing at the top, and that for all other figures the flag would just jump out of the hole which it can't here.

My Troll Figure also came with a removable banner.

But I did notice a differnce in the material of the banner and the base of the troll as compared to the other figures. Usually the banner in the normal figures fits snuggly into the base since the plastic of the base is a little flexable. While the banner of the troll fits loosly into the base and seems to be of harder plastic.

But still I have no complaints of my Troll figure.
