It is ugly as sin but it reminds me of the Twin Mustang, so I'd be down for it to be released.
Nobody loves T-Wing!
I'll be calling t wing for scum for every wave until its released.
Also, I may be the only person who likes the H-wing.
H-Wing is present in FFG AoR, as for Xwing, ugly to me, but tougher ywing w/ no mech 360 arc primary, ion (canon) secondary, torpedo possible crew
alas another rebel ship with arc to match source? :/
Edited by XAQT78T-Wing has an interesting history. It was made by the Rebellion to be a cheaper replacement for the A-Wing, but it was worse than the A-Wing in every way. So they sold the design off to illegitimate organizations. It'd be a cool ship to see, as both scum and Rebels could field it cheaply.
The H-Wing is ugly and... man I hate to say this, but I think the FFG art made it look even worse than the original art. Especially since the turret gun is so low that it'll just smack the side of the pilot's cockpit as it tries to turn around. I've always thought the H-Wing was pretty interesting. This might not be the right game for it, but I think it has a place in canon.
I want the T-Wing!
For me, it would be to the A-Wing what the Z-95 is to the X-Wing. So, a cheaper but worse version. Good for swarms and for a bit of maneuverable filler.
Let's face it, the Rebellion is scraping the bottom of the barrel for it's ship designs now. As befits an illegal terrorist operation.
I would think the T-wing would be scum.
I'm not a fan of the T Wing, I don't see it having any real role in the rebel fleet, if implemented it would be something like the M3A, a last generation, fairly agile low attack craft.
T-wing?
?
Looking at the T-Wing model, I would think it would need to do something else besides be a cheaper A-Wing. You can already get the cheapest A-Wing at 15 pts (with refit), and the Z-95 is only 3 points lower, so there's not much you can do without accidentally dismissing the Z-95 from all combat ever.
Unless you introduced a new mechanic or a new rule with that ship. The triple-engine design of the T-Wing makes me want to make it barrel roll. Perhaps it could be have an A-Wing's maneuvering dial, without the boost, but instead, give it a Barrel Roll action? And if this is the defining mechanic of the T-Wing (besides cheapness; we already established that cheapness can't be its only mechanic or we lose the Z-95), then we can totally flesh out the BR action using this ship in a way no other ship (except perhaps the Phantom) does.
What if it could BR using the 2-template? What if you could BR using the 2-template, going over other ships? What if you could perform a BR action even if moves you to bump into another ship? What if you could stress the ship you BR into, or gain an automatic-TL on it?
There are so many things you could do with this. Non-traditional maneuverability is usually what you need to go for if you're making a two-dice attack ship (besides cheapness). And with the SubLight Acceleration Motor (SLAM), we're already pushing the limit of forward maneuverability. Sideways maneuverability would make it a mean arc-dodger, but without any secondary weapons its mere 2 attack would balance it out, and without Boost, getting into Range 1 would take skill.
And people think the E-Wing is ugly? This forum is crazy......
