My Salvaged AT-ST

By Gecimen, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

I'm new to figure painting. I tried to make the regular AT-ST rusty and dirty. I know I have overdone it but I'm so in love with the rust effect. Used brown paint + humbrol's rust wash for it.

One thing I couldn't do was effective laser wounds. How do you do those? Do you really dent the plastic?

Thanks to Sorastro and Nechromus, they were great inspirations.

And here's General Weiss' custom chopper AT-ST :)

1 word....EPIC

Rust isn't overdone, I've seen far worse. Saw a minature sovjet tank that was suposed to be rusted but had so much textured paint and rust effects and washes on it it more closely resembled a corral reef. Your AT-ST looks fine!

How are you gonna paint the one in the background? Woodland camoflage?

Thank you!

Didn't really think about it too much.

I thought about yellow stripes on a metallic dark grey (somewhat like construction image) . But not sure.

That could look good to. You paint it however you want. Just post a pic when it's done! ;)

Updated with General Weiss.

Gotta say, I like your Weiss. Very cool, and it really shows that he's sporting a custom AT-ST.
