Poll: Interest in a Balanced Fanmade Campaign

By player674990, in Tide of Iron

I've had a campaign on the back burner focusing on 6 battles featuring the Herman Goering Panzer Division and Darby's Rangers.

I'm undecided on scale as far as sets used, etc.: I have Two copies of the main game, DotF, and Normandy.

Should I structure it with the Map Expansion, two sets of the Main Game, or one set of the main game and just the expansions?

Currently, it is devised for 2 copies of the main game plus the expansions but I know this would get little play... I think.

I guess it all boils down to whether you want to make the best campaign you can, or if you want to make the best campaign that is still playable by the majority of players.

I'd vote for the 2nd, since I wouldn't be able to play your campaign otherwise. :)

7times7is49, if I could make a "suplica", I would rather appreciate that scenarios in your campaign would not require 2 copies of a base TOI game (24 squads, 12 tanks and 12 vehicles per nation should be enough units for every "normal" 2 players scenario gui%C3%B1o.gif )

I think that there are more ToI players who have Map pack 1 (which is more often usable) than those with a second copy of base TOI game (which components you use very rarely).

Looking forward to your "little bit epic" (as to a number of used units) campaign!

Since I have three copies of the base game, four of DotF, three of Normandy and the Map Pack, I guess that my opinion does not really count... preocupado.gif

Sorry for a mistype, I wanted to write

Hi,

cool that you want to develope new scenarios. I would appreciate, if you would use one copy of the base game and the two add-ons.

Nonetheless, you could add a double-game scenario as a bonus map, e.g. , the map doesn't influence the main forces, but the winning side has more reinforcement in the following scenario.

Ciao Woernchen

I agree that many players have not invested in mode than one base game but do have the Map pack and at least one extension. It's my guess that you need a lot of units. Although not a perfect solution, you could use British pieces from DoF to make up a division for one side or another. The tanks wouldn't fit the Germans, but the infantry are small enough for a "suspension of disbelief". I vote for one base game and look forward to your work.

I shall use the base game, DotF, and Normandy. No map expansion.

I also intend to use the british troops as "leveled up" americans.

British Officer = Upgraded American Officer

British Elite = Upgraded American Elite.

Either that, or just plain using them.
