An xwing has a target lock on a tie fighter behind him. (Tie outside of primary fire arc) the xwing cannot fire the proton torpedo correct?
Can munitions be fired outside your primary firing arc?
The only weapons that can be fired outside of the firing arc say so.
There are TWO types of secondary weapons that can.
Turrets (Ion Cannon Turret, Blaster Turret, and Autoblaster Turret), equippable by HWKs and Y-Wings.
Hot Shot Blaster (a specific Illicit Upgrade), equippable by most Scum ships, and no other faction.
So, to answer your question, no the X-Wing can't proton behind himself/herself/itself/hirself/themselves.
