Rebels Season 2 Trailer

By Keoki, in X-Wing

You can train any one to swing a lightsaber and crush objects that's pretty basic.

Except all the people who can't use the force, which is almost everyone in the galaxy.

The point is, Sith Lords are limited to 2 by design. But the Empire makes use of other Dark Side users. But someone could be almost as powerful as Vader and still "just" be an Inquisitor.

It's the same way as some hobo using the force for good and waving a lightsaber around isn't a Jedi (Jabba had it on the money there in EP6 exceeept - Luke had formal training from Yoda).

Training, meditation, religion, the way of life. That is what makes the Jedi and their diametrically opposed kin the Sith what they are. Any force sensitive yahoo can use the force and a sabre, but that training, that focus... That is something else.

I am glad that the fight between Ezra, Kanan and Vader went like it did. It clearly showed that they were overwhelmingly outmatched.

It was interesting to see how this was handled post VI in the EU. You actually had people training at the Jedi Temple on Yavin that sometimes allowed a bit of the dark side in, such as Kyle and his most well-known student.

Even more so with the jedai (that being the proto jedi before the great schizm) where they were all about balance. light and dark evenly, trying not to have too much of either.

Except all the people who can't use the force, which is almost everyone in the galaxy.

Which is why i was explicitly talking about force sensitiveness.

Well, for all intents and purposes, they ARE Sith Lords in everything but title.

The last thing Star Wars needs is entire squads of force sensitive stormtroopers.

Not really there are several levels just using the dark side does not make you Sith by default.

And force sensitive can become a dark Jedi but to be a Sith you need training in dark side techniques only a Sith can pass on there's a reason the emperor wasn't just toppled by another dark side user he could do thinks no one else could.

For once we're 100% agreed. The Inquisitors are really just adepts skill wise, no greater than elder padawans that aren't quite Knights. And that's on purpose. Can't let them get too powerful.

Kinda generalizing, there were some inquisitors who packed a mean punch (Jerec for example). But overall that's the gist.

I suppose there's force sensitivity/power vs training and the ability to direct that power.

A less force sensitive but fully trained sith could probably pwn the ever loving force out of a powerfully force attuned untrained pleb.

A guy with a garand M1 who knows what he is doing would probably win against a guy with a M4-sopmod-with all addons+fries who doesn't.

The last thing Star Wars needs is entire squads of force sensitive stormtroopers.

The Inquisitors would be more like a level between Padawan and Knight, almost a type of Sith Knight, they roam the galaxy attempting to expunge the last remaining Jedi, while the Sith Lords are closer to Master level in power and training and are more concerned with commanding and ruling. After all Vader can't do all the hunting by himself, Kenobi said he helped the Empire hunt them down, implying there were others that did most of the purging (besides the clones in the initial purge)

And I never said sabre weilding Troops would be force sensitive. That's why they have shields, they could deflect blaster bolts but they could use Sabres well enough to attack with them. Contrary to popular belief you don't need to be strong in the force to use a Lightsaber, it's just a weapon, not a magic wand or anything. I guess Jedi like putting force-attuned Kyber crystals in their swords to customize them and better feel where their weapon is and to feel more of a connection with it.

A guy with a garand M1 who knows what he is doing would probably win against a guy with a M4-sopmod-with all addons+fries who doesn't.

Maybe if the second guy trades the first guy the fries for the win. French fries are sometimes delicious.

Now if only rebels will show Lightsaber weilding Stormtroopers with shields...

That might have been a better direction to take the inquisitor (or inquisitors). As it is, someone just watching casually might have a hard time distinguishing the difference between an inquisitor and a sith. Making them look more like the grunt soldiers would gave visually reinforced the distinction.

Could be why they all have the same lightsaber. Gives them a tad bit of uniformity. If the female one is who I think it is, she would know how to use a more traditional saber.

How much confusion did Asajj Ventress, and then the Nightsisters, present in Clone Wars?

It shouldn't be Ventress, she has already, if not completely abandoned the Dark Side, at least seems to be more unaligned and out on her own - also there is an upcoming canon book that has her running around with Quinlan Vos

That wasn't my point. The Clone Wars had other Dark Siders beside the known Sith (including a lost Sith Lord returning).

Sorry! I was thinking you were saying the new Inquisitor could be Ventress

Sorry! I was thinking you were saying the new Inquisitor could be Ventress

It is certainly a popular theory. The female inquisitor in the trailer has the neck to be Ventress and is dual wielding sabers.

I'm with you though and really hope it isn't her. After the way Ahsoka's story arc in TCW ended, I was really hoping that she and Ventress became a team.

It's not. While I'm pretty certain the new Inquisitor is someone we know, it isn't Asajj.

Well after watching it...Vader needs a title card...he is already in an X-1...."Sith Lord" add an additional crit to attack plus one defense dice while defending. 6pts...lol

Based on what?

This. An Inquisitor is like a Jedi Knight. While a Sith Lord is like a Jedi Master.

Modification. Darth Vader in TIE Advanced only

Dark Lord of the Sith

If this ship hits an enemy small ship it is destroyed. Large and Huge ships take an additional crit for each attack that hits.

0 points (cause he's Vader)

Those expecting ventress will be sorely disappointed after dark disciple comes out

Dark Disciple

OMG it's her and Quinlan Vos? How I wish this was an animated feature...

If it is any consolation - it would have been if Clone Wars had kept going. It's developed from a story line they had written

The Jedi and the Sith are not very sleuthy, are they?

How many years does Yoda have council meetings in the same room as Palpatine, none the wiser?

Luke Skywalker was raised by his aunt and uncle. He had the name Skywalker, but his uncle had the name Owen and his aunt's maiden name was Whitesun. How does that not raise a red flag? And Obi-Wan is just living on the other side of the hill?

And Obi-Wan is just living on the other side of the hill?

C'mon guy. How would anyone suspect that Old Ben Kenobi was really Obi-wan Kenobi?

Skywalker was said at some point to be a fairly common name on Tattooine. Not sure if that was in-canon.

The Sith, particularly Palpatine, were very good at clouding the force. They wouldn't have gotten anywhere near to creating the Empire without this ability.

Obi-Wan was keeping a low profile. Even though he was known to a few locals, his name didn't go far, I think. He really should have used a pseudonym for his last name as well, though.
