Rebels Season 2 Trailer

I mean, James Earl Jones used that much?

Holy ****, that was actually him? I just assumed it was a sound alike.

Yup, that's him! Anthony Daniels also reprised his role as C-3PO in the series, as well as Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian (twice, now, and word is a few more times in the queue), and even Frank Oz coming back to do Yoda's voice.

They've done a pretty good job bringing back the original voices, when possible. (I think the only voiceover theoretically possible that they haven't used was Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, but....eh, he was only in 2 movies, and James Arnold Taylor was Obi-Wan in 6 years of the Clone Wars, so...works for me)

and even Frank Oz coming back to do Yoda's voice.

He did it for a episode in season 1 already.

But that was the most frighting Vader I've ever seen to be honest. In complete control of everything happening, powerful in the force and down right nasty in a Tie Advanced.

Yeah nice to see ANH Vader back in his TIE. Once he became obsessed with Luke and started showing his human side again it lessened the absolute monster that we saw gunning down anyone who got in his way. I just couldn't see ROTJ Vader gunning down entire fleets singlehandedly.

Poor Minister Tua. They coldly sacrificed a true believer...

Vader Was BOSS in that Advanced. Shows me FFG completely messed up his ship.

Proxy with the X1, give him predator, ATC and EU.

Own everyone. They didn't mess up.

I say give him Lone Wolf and he could've easily done what he did.

Man, that was a good show. It was awesome to release on Father's Day as I watched it with my son. We are in Season 2 of The Clone Wars and all caught up with Rebels. Man, Vader was scary.

Vader was Great in that episode. It really showed the Malevolence he had. Very dark and menacing. Also on a side note. People complaining about the Giraffe Star Destroyer, do a comparison of Vader. It's like everyone else said this show is stylized.

I see that but my complaint is his primary weapon is too weak in the game. I mean he took out an Epic ship with like 3 shots.

Narrative combat vs actual combat.

He 1-2 shot Y-wings in ANH, TIE's did this to X-wings too.

Not a single TIE survived being "grazed" by cannon fire in any of the movies either.

It is but you can't really say people are wrong to dislike it as it's a matter of taste, the wookies from the pilot for example were terrible in alot of people's opinion.

I think the giraffes look silly and you can correctly point out they are based on the style of concept images it won't make me like it.

It's like I don't like the neo-anime style of Fairy Tail, but I love the series...

I hate the Lupin the third anime style of animation that doesn't mean they are bad movies just that i dislike that particular style.

It's TV a big part of it is the visuals and if you don't like it's style then it becomes alot harder to watch.

Exactly, Rebels and TCW Had that with an animation style i didn't like that much, but the background and well, star-wars-y-ness I love.

Well, we only saw 3 shots, but you know he has to have the upgrade from the Raider. That means he took Adv. Targeting Computer. You put crits on a big ship and it starts to hurt. Also, maybe the big ship didn't have full shields? Remember that they were trying to steal new shield generators.

This is true I still just got excited about how much of a BOSS Vader was.

Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, but....eh, he was only in 3 movies

Fixed that for ya

Vader's look in rebels is a lot more like his concept art, and I think it makes him more menacing and 'predatory' looking. The fight with Kanan and Vader had one shot that was almost exactly the match for an early concept painting by am Mcquirre. Now if only rebels will show Lightsaber weilding Stormtroopers with shields...

Yeah, I wish he would have at least used missiles on the frigate.

No, it just means that you have terrible taste.

That might have been a better direction to take the inquisitor (or inquisitors). As it is, someone just watching casually might have a hard time distinguishing the difference between an inquisitor and a sith. Making them look more like the grunt soldiers would gave visually reinforced the distinction.

Well, for all intents and purposes, they ARE Sith Lords in everything but title.

The last thing Star Wars needs is entire squads of force sensitive stormtroopers.

The season 2 premier makes it pretty clear that they are not even close to the same thing, though apart from general power level it doesn't really explain what us so different.

And I didn't say squads of them. The idea was that the inquisitors would have been presented exactly as they are now, just with a less individualistic look so that it is obvious that they are different from sith.

Could be why they all have the same lightsaber. Gives them a tad bit of uniformity. If the female one is who I think it is, she would know how to use a more traditional saber.

How much confusion did Asajj Ventress, and then the Nightsisters, present in Clone Wars?

I know it sounds lame and lazy, but it's the truest explanation. Lucas and his creative team made up the whole story as they were shooting the movies.

One of the big lies from Lucas is that he had a grand scheme in his head the whole time for the whole series. He has said that countless times, and countless times he has lied.

^ So very much this.

Even going from IV to V you can see this... in IV the emperor was not a spooky force-using Sith, and Vader was not his right hand man... Vader was answering to Tarkin! None of the dynamics of the Empire make sense in IV in light of V let alone what happened in I - III

You probably want to read Marvel's Darth Vader series. How Vader gets so large and in charge is the whole point of that series.

Also the Tarkin novel deals with why Vader is so subservient.

Of the 2, the comic is much, much better.

Not really there are several levels just using the dark side does not make you Sith by default.

And force sensitive can become a dark Jedi but to be a Sith you need training in dark side techniques only a Sith can pass on there's a reason the emperor wasn't just toppled by another dark side user he could do thinks no one else could.

You can train any one to swing a lightsaber and crush objects that's pretty basic.
