I have also been thinking about octgn. I have a few qs first. Do I need to pay a monthly fee to play lotr lcg? and do I have to pay to install packs? do you need internet to play?

You don't now? I simply couldn't launch OCTGN if I have no internet connection.

Well, looks like both of us are half right, the game actually loads but its terribly slow. What I actually refered to before was that you dont have to sign in to play solo (or thorugh LAN perhaps) .

I found this out when I tried to take my OCTGN flash drive to school to play some LOTR in computer free time. Unfortunately I have a student account so I can't install anything, but I was able to convince the network administrator to get .NET because "some software wasn't working".

If anyone's considering whether to try OCTGN I strongly recommend to give it a shot. I play so much more of LotR thanks to it. At first I didn't like the idea of OCTGN, I thought too much charm of the artwork would be lost. But I did try, and it exceeded my expectations. The setup is done for you, you have all the features, exhaustion, tokens, secondary decks etc. at your disposal. And the convenience of saving decks, it just saves so much time.

I would love OCTGN for Android or iOS...

I can't think about lotr-lcg without octgn. This game would be different (speaking about my situation). With octgn, i can play usually games with 4 players, if not, i would play solo (or one or two multiplayer games only for each week)
