Speculation: Convince Me What's Up with the Arcs on the Hound's Tooth
i bet this thing handles like a brick, to balance the huge arcs.
This is okay with me!
Honestly, it was one of the things I really liked about early (EARLY!) Star Trek: Attack Wing. Back in the first few waves, they did a good job providing the factions with very different flavors. The Cardassians all had 180-arcs, which were nearly unique to them, and a LOT of firepower (relative to what else was out), but...the most godawful dials you've ever seen. No k-turn, no non-red hard turns (at all!), etc.
It gave them a definite flavor - keeping the enemy in arc was both easy at any given moment (you had the widest arc in the game) and incredibly hard looking forward (your dial was really awful, so you always risked an enemy getting behind you - forcing you to split your forces into some kind of 'Thach weave' maneuver. Which, I mean...yeah...any time a game encourages adoption of a common air tactic maneuver as a valid tactic...that's a win, in my book!)

Because it isn't a turret. Think about what that means for a moment.
