outmaneuver, autothrusters and turrets

For the purposes of thenabout talents and mods, can you ever be "out of arc" on something like a falcon with its allround turret?

If the primary weapon is 360, how can you be outside the firing arc?

If the primary weapon is 360, how can you be outside the firing arc?

The arc is still in the front. A turret primary weapon actually allows you to fire outside of this arc, and does not turn the arc itself 360

It is a very common, yet allso very unfortionate, short cut to say that ships with turrets (be they primary or secondary) has a 360 degrea firing arc. It leads to many a missunderstanding and querstions such as this one.

As pointed out above, no ship (so far) has a 360 firing arc, some weapons however has the ability to fire outside the ships firing arc.

I'm believing you, but where do you draw this from? My friends would argue: "If he shoots 360, that's a 360 arc." Is there some where in the new rules about that?

It's in the rulebook and printed on all the chit you place on your bases. Firesprays even get an auxiliary one

Is it in the FAQ? because....

Firing Arc At the front of each ship token is a wedge shape (green for Imperials, red for Rebels). This area shows the angle from which the ship’s weapons can fire. An enemy ship is inside the active ship’s firing arc if any part of the enemy ship’s base falls inside the angle defined by the wedge shape (see “Firing Arc and Range Example” on page 11). Other ships do not obstruct firing arcs. For example, if a ship has multiple enemy ships inside its firing arc, it can target any one of them. Thematically, this represents that ships can attack above or below the other ships in 3D space.

That doesn't seem clear enough to me.

You can allso search the FAQ for "arc" and you will find a number of places to confirm what we have said.

Backstaber is one such example:

A ship with a turret primary or a (turret symbol) secondary weapon is still affected by Backstabber if no portion of his base is inside the printed firing arcs on the defender’s ship token.

It's actually on the insert that comes with probably all primary turret ships

heres the text from the faq, as the insert rules are hard to find online

TURRET PRIMARY WEAPON

Some ships (such as the Millennium Falcon) use a turret as their primary
weapon. Each Ship card shows the turret primary weapon icon, and each
ship token shows a circular red arrow as a reminder.
When attacking with a turret primary weapon, a ship may target an enemy
ship inside or outside its firing arc. When attacking with a secondary
weapon, the ship must still target a ship inside its firing arc (unless specified
otherwise on the Upgrade card).

Thanks guys. This really helps.
