Kath and Kavil scum

This is a list i quite like, i find kavil with an autoblaster turret really nasty and enough threat to pull attention from my real damage dealer which would be kath. Everyone loves push the limit but i quite like the look of oppurtunist. Potentially 4 dice out the front (5 at range 1) or 5 dice (6 at range 1) out the rear, particularly if i use a green manauver to get TL and clear stress, then use action to focus. The seismic charge is just for giggles. The 2 pirates with dampeners emphasise kaths flavour of sacrificing her employees to save her skin. They will act as blockers, then use their intertial dampeners to keep the enemy there for another turn.

The inertial dampeners are typically not necessary for the Binayre Pirates, since you could accomplish the same task of blocking with a straight 1 forward (and crash). Even better, you won't be stressed the following turn.

I find that Kavil really needs engine upgrade and VI to make true use of the autoblaster turret. At PS 7, the main things that you want to be taking out with Kavil (Soontir, Whisper, Echo, Tycho, VI Jake, any ship with 3+ Defense dice and low health) will be able to range-dodge out of range 1.

I didnt think of adding an engine upgrade to allow boosting to get close to the enemy.

Good call on the dampeners, thats 2 points at least that could be reinvested into kavil.

i feel like 47 points is a lot to invest into something that isnt a YT hull, but i really like the idea of using loads of dice to blow enemy ships away :)

Leaves 24 points for flavour. I originally went with two Z-95's but I'm wondering if they are worth it and perhaps dropping to three ships?

The 12 points gets a HLC on Kath so 4 dice in both arcs, VI and engine on Kavil to get more optimal shots and even dost some arcs.

I did wonder if it's worth having Kath with Vi as opposed to Boba for the same points but I think I prefer her ability.

How would people refine this?

Do you get much mileage out of the Autoblaster though? I always look at it and think the R1 elk it is a big restriction?
