Double Bran

By Rozy, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

I have question about this scenario. In 2 player game both players have Bran Stark (core) in play when they reveal the plot. Then the FP is determined which has a first option to play a Any Phase action. He decides to pass so the other player can now play Brans ability. He reveals new plot. Now can the FP again use his Bran to reveal new plot? What is the second players passes too? I guess the game goes to Draw phase an noone was able to play Brans ability.

With two Brans in the game the play is a little bit more challanging :)

Let me make sure I get the scenario: plots are revealed, First Player determined, and plots are resolved. Now, we move on to post-plot Player Actions. Both players have Bran, so we know that both players have the possibility of triggering post-plot actions. Is that the right scene?

Like all Player Action windows, players take turns triggering actions, starting with the First Player. The window closes and moves on when all players have passed consecutively (i.e., passed on the option to trigger an action). The fact that both players have the option to trigger their own copy of Bran really has no bearing on this. He's just another player action like any other.

- So, if the First Player passes and the opponent triggers an effect ( any effect, it doesn't have to be Bran), the opportunity to take an action goes back to the First Player, who can then trigger an effect (again, any "Plot" or "Any Phase" effect, it doesn't have to be Bran).

- But if the First Player passes and the opponent passes, too, then all players have passed consecutively, the Player Action window closes and you move on to the next Framework window.

Having two Brans in the game doesn't make the timing of the game any more challenging. It's the same as it always is. The only thing different is that you can both see what the other is passing on, so the timing details that no one usually pays any attention to come to the surface.

Thanks thats exactly what I wanted to know.

It is that sometimes it really matter to know the order of the plots, e.g. when you know that you opponent has Blockade or something like that.
