In all honesty, from what people who've seen the model in person have told me, they say it looks spectacular and that the pictures don't do the new ships justice.

And though I may gripe and moan all I want over my disdain for the K-Wing, I'm still probably buying 3 of them... My addicti- love for this game is that bad.

Also, does anyone feel like the Punisher and K should be on a new medium-sized base? They look awfully silly on small bases.

I mentioned medium bases in some of my predictions, but if the Aggressor wasn't a strong enough clue that they aren't coming Wave 7 is the nail in the coffin. Sadly, I think they would have added a nice new wrinkle to the game.

I can't really imagine just how wide the punisher actually is, the normal bomber is already ridiculously wide.

It could have been worse - we could have had the XG1 mini-van instead of the Punisher

I had the same thought when I first saw the pics. 'Whoa, Large Ba....wait...still small? Those are huge for small base!'

And, while I'm curious about ordnance becoming useful, and will probably buy a Punisher cause I'm an Imp at heart....I really was hoping for a GunBoat myself....(And while the K-Wing is extremely.....odd, I might pick one up as well, simply because it is so odd.)

Honestly, the only ships I'd consider never buying is a Scimitar bomber and Skiprays.

As disappointed as I am about the K-Wing, it is still Star Wars, it is still X-Wing, it is still probably gonna rob me of $40-60 from my wallet.

They've gotta be insane to put such big models on small bases. The HWK was pushing it already. Medium bases would give them a bit more speed on the table and have that "bomber feel" to it since they wouldn't be flown nimbly like small based ships.

So the punisher is actually SLIGHTLY smaller than I expected based on what people have been saying, but I like the size based on those images. They slightly shrunk the missile pods compared to the bomber. If they had not, it would be ridiculous.

I can't hit the "no" button enough to describe my thoughts on the K-wing. The TIE punisher looks way worse than an assault missile boat would have. The Kirahz or whatever is a very poor choice, particularly since they've given it the Scyk paint job like that somehow makes it related to the Scyk. It's not. It's a completely different company in the lore. They should have made either the Dunelizard or the Kimogila or the M-22 Krayt - probably the Krayt given their inexplicable decision to produce a K-wing.

I can't believe anybody was crazy enough to make that for the game. There is so much better stuff out there it's not funny. I really want to believe that this wave is a joke and that they're going to take it all back in a few days.

I love the Interdictor (I'm a SWGBGholic), and I've always been slightly partial to the K-wing (it looks like the Rebel's B-17 or B-29), but I completely agree they should have had slightly larger bases.

IMO, the Hound's Tooth looks the ugliest (although I don't really like their variant of the Kihraxz), because it should be longer than it is.

Nope. It looks the part of a ship designed by a toddler lumbering across the table. The only thing that could possibly save this for me would be proxy ships from Mel's Miniatures, and that may not even be enough.

When you love someone, you love it with both its virtues and flaws. Otherwise, you don't truly love it. For my part, I love this game.

The K-Wing is a bit ugly? Fine. The model has still good quality and is pretty well executed. I definitely see it having a place on rebel lists. The same for the Punisher. There are many other monstrosities flying around in the EU to lose sleep for a model that is really not that bad.

IMO, people just like to overreact, as always... People were quitting the game when Scum was announced too... People will also chop the panels of the raider because thay can't stand them.... At the end, let's see how many of those claims hold true.

The K-Wing and TIE Punisher look fantastic. But now seeing that the Khan Fighter's cockpit is in the nose bothers me some. I thought it looks better in the mainframe of the ship. I may get a buddy to customize it for me, because other than that it looks great. As to Hound's Tooth, it looks awesome!

I just don't understand all the mutual hate. FFG does a great job of making ships look more realistic. I understand that the K-Wing drawing looked cartoony, but this model version looks very nice.

You know what? I am going to be positive about this, I mean yeah the K-wing is ugly and out of place, but i've been arguing for the inclusion of prequel ships so... The Kikrahz is a really strange choice, and is the scum ship from galaxies I would not expect (those stats make it more like a vaksai or an ixien ) This wave is a fixit wave. IT fixes ordnance as a maiun thing, and yeah i am dissapointed that the XG1 or missileboat or TIE Scimitar were not chosen, maybe they scraped the bottom on purpose. The hounds tooth is still very cool, the K-wing while fugly does at least have a bomber vibe. The punisher... I admit it's hard for me to stay positive over this but I just have to think :ordnance fix, let's hope for awesome cards.

I think the inclusion of heavy bombers is cool -- assuming there are some good ordnance fixes to match.

The TIE I'm fine with, though I'm confused why it isn't called a TIE Interdictor like it is in Stay on Target, which is FFG's own product.

The K-wing is a bit goofy. Cut the distended chin turret and upper engine, and place a ball turret where the upper engine is and I'd be OK with it, I think. I just hope its mechanics don't step on the Y-wing too much. The stat lines are already a bit too close for comfort so the K-wing had better be differentiated in some other significant way.

I woke up today thinking Wave 7 was all just a bad dream, but its still here.

The K-Wing, although it does look horrible, kinda makes sense? I mean, where else are they gonna put their bombs, in cylindrical tubes the size of the pilots cockpit?

I found some more high-res photos of it too, those sculptors must've had a heart attack making the K-Wing's model from scratch with all those hard points and turrets and jazz.

Dont get why people hate the K-wing. The image that you see makes it look shorter and smaller than what it is, I drew it up once on graph paper, and it didnt look that crowded.

Sorry, I don't mean to jump onto the negative band wagon here but I'll admit I'm underwhelmed at Wave 7. If anything I was hoping for another Imperial Epic. As much as many love S&V and yes I'l admit they add variety S&V just doesn't reflect Star Wars flavor, rather just another space miniatures game. Once you move beyond TIEs and the traditional Rebel fighters anything could be valid. I want to look at the new figures and see what up with them. My greatest disappointment is they will most likely have cards that fix prior ships. Looking at FFG's X-Wing, Cosmic Encounter (I have both the original and 2nd edition) and Arkham Horror perhaps I need to rethink getting into Armada. Sorry for the down attitude. But I hope I will be surprised and still have my fingers crossed.

You know... As silly as the TIE Punisher looks at first glance, you've got to admit it's going to be a pretty frightening thing to see one of those closing in on your CR-90 escorted by 2-4 TIE Bombers. I don't think any other heavy bomber they could have released would invoke that feeling (*cough*scimitar*cough*).
