can we choose a kneelt character and what result can we have with ?

The card does not require you to choose a standing character. The only limitations on the character you choose is that you must control it and it must have an intrigue icon. So as long as it has an intrigue icon and you control it, you can choose a character that is already kneeling.

However, as always, when you try to kneel a character that is already kneeling, you are not considered to have successfully knelt a character. So when you get to the next part of the event (the player who knelt the character with the highest STR), you have not actually knelt anything and will thus lose to anyone who did.

So let's say I play the event. I choose a 1-STR standing character of mine. You choose a 3-STR kneeling character of yours. Mine is successfully knelt, yours is not. So I'm the one who knelt the character with the highest STR, even though the one you chose had a higher STR, and I'm the one who gets to send a character to someone's hand.
