So I am trying to figure out how many moves before a ship goes straight off the board. I am looking for both short and longs ways.

I dont have access to a 3x6 board so I cant figure this out on my own.

What I am doing is trying to translate the movement so that I can do some movement strategies on graph paper. Also knowing how far the range tool is for a board would be great!

The movement tool is slightly longer than the measuring tool at 12 3/32"

However, the VSD base is hair over 4"

The arrow at the end of the tool is 3/4" past the end of any base at a movement of 4.

a ship at speed 2, would move about 5 11/32 inches.

Hmmmmmm ok then which means a VSD can go about 6 rounds of straight movement. . .
