Oh god, I have so many mixed feeling about this wave! I'm very glad for Hound's Tooth, another bounty hunter is always a good thing! For the Interdictor and K-Wing, why not? It's getting harder and harder to find a good rebel or imperial ship that is not a copy-paste of what we already have... but for the Kirhraxz/Vaksai... That was my favorite ship in SWG when I was playing the neutral faction! I'm very glad they went with it first and I expect it to be the scum X-Wing... I mean, I should be very excited to see this ship coming in X-Wing and soon being able to field a Vaksai squadron.... but why did they had to pick the worst design?

I also prefer the hammerhead nose designs to the one we got, maybe time to learn green plasticard - Still, it looks to have near x-wing stats and should give scum a good ship in that class - the starviper tends to be expensive, the z-s are cheap, and if people are right about the 3 attack, another small base 3 attack ship is pretty important for scum

Wave 7: The fix for Ordnance

Well, getting something. They stated in that interview on the Jodocast (podcast) that Bombers were going to get some love and they realized that ordnance wasn't up to snuff.

I'm wondering, though, that maybe instead of a fix for ordnance all around, we get a title card that can be used on "Tie Bombers". So...the new Tie Punisher and Tie Bombers. Maybe it's a fix for specific craft instead of ordnance overall? That would explain why it is the Tie Punisher instead of the Missile Gunboat...or whatever it is people are complaining about.

You dont *have* to buy them and FFG/Disney/LFL are never going to make it so you like EVERY ship, its just actually not possible for everyone to have the same aesthetic preferences really is it?

I mean with an imperial huge ship coming out, a rebel bomber makes sense... also if you're going to fix ordnance...clearly and ordnance related wave makes sense.

Personally i expected a scimater assault bomber and a white tie bomber repaint for 'scimitar wing' but i was clearly wrong in that.

I can see myself getting probably one of the houndes tooth (for completeness), two of the new punisher, possibly two K wings and a few of the little fighter.

Certainly more attractive to me than the ewing and defender or phantom ... visually at least.

Lets just see how the rules fair

edit; i am surprised/dissapointed not to see the gun/missileboat from the xwing games. Certainly a better choice than the punisher for me.

I'd also rather have seen a hutt space barge rather than the hounds tooth. the tooth looks like a broken brick,

edit: if the new scum fighter is a black sun 'workshorse' its a shame they gave it that bloody awful khaki and purple scheme they put on the m3a... oh well repaint time i guess.

Never liked it, never looked structurally sound for oh SO many reasons, but I'll probably buy it anyway and hey, people love it. I've lost my right to judge people for what they love a looooong time ago.

Well let's see. I always kinda' liked the prequels, don't hate Jar Jar, I thought RoTS was an honestly good film for the most part, and as a boy at the age of ten I watched Powerpuff Girls religiously at 4:00PM on School Days (I just loved that show). I was always a huge Sonic fan as opposed to Mario (fret not, I don't like the bad games. But I do love the Adventure series and Generations). I ended up becoming a diehard Furry roughly ten years ago (doooooon't even start with me 'bout the stereotypes), nigh exclusively played Khajiit or Argonian in Elder Scrolls games, and boy oh boy do I love MLP:FiM.

I've always liked things out of the ordinary or been a generally out of the ordinary, or an outlier type of person. I had what was basically a boyfriend long before any Girlfriend, and just, y'know. I'm an outlier kind of person and fairly often told what I enjoy is not right or the standard, and people are at least right about the second one.

But I know where I stand. I can't act like what I love is the standard, so I don't. I don't hold others to mine and I respect when they don't do so to me. It's why I generally don't judge until someone's decided to attack me for what I like as if they're higher/mightier.

So, a myriad of reasons is why I have no right to judge. It'd make those I associate with, and even don't on a grand scale but do in a small way represent, look bad to others. What's the point?

Love what you love, I say. I think the Hound's Tooth is a boxy weird amalgam of bad design choices, but the same could totally be said about the HWK-290, N1, ARC-170, ETA-2, and even most of the OT ships.

So that's why. But enough about me, that's off topic.

I am actually pretty excited to see the Punisher and how it is different from the Bomber.

Remember at the heart of things a TIE Interceptor is just a faster, more maneuverable TIE Fighter with more guns. Despite that fact, the Fighter and the Interceptor fly very, very differently and feel completely unique on the table. I have a lot of faith in FFG because of this.

That being said, visually its not a great design since its not different enough from the Bomber.

EDIT: Oh yeah, who would be the other 2 unique pilots in the Houndstooth, any with more info than me care to speculate?

I'm actually really excited about the Hound's Tooth, and I don't know jack about it other than the dino-man guy was in The Empire Strike back being all grrr after the "Bounty Hunters!? We don't need their scum!" line

Am I misremembering or did Boba steal the Hound's Tooth at some point? Could we maybe get yet another version of him just for fun. Or maybe a crew Boba?

I don't mind the new ugly ships. I just fear the power creep will even more steal the thunder of the OT beauties.

There isn't power creep. FFG gives the new ships roles by making them different, not more powerful.

The only OT ship that's weak is the X-wing and that's because it's a Wave I ship and the design priorities were different then.

FFG has been doing great work. Their true-blue and delivering products that are way better than any other STAR WARS range ... on Earth!
