The K-Wing and TIE Punisher *REALLY*???

The Hounds Tooth looks cool...

TIE interdictor. It will always be called the TIE interdictor. (Even Age of Rebellion called it the TIE interdictor)

To be fair, they needed two bombers they hadn't made to do the ordnance fix. The K-wing was obvious given we have the E-wing (it's the one -wing left) and the Interdictor really isn't that bad.

Then we get the Scum fighter from Roark Garnet's card and Large Ship Bossk.

Looks to be a good wave.

eek that sucks the tie punisher makes the k-wing look subtle....what a waste.

I would *any day* take the Scimitar Assault Bomber over that TIE Interdictor/Punisher turd.

I mean, pretty much any time someone posted the hope that the Scimitar would be in a future wave, and there was a knee-jerk from some of the audience that "ewww...I don't like that one", the inevitable reply everyone could agree on was "yeah, well, at least it's not as stupid looking as the TIE Interdictor"...and everyone had a nice laugh at that, knowing FFG would never go there.

Annnnnd...they have.

(FWIW, I don't mind the Kihraxz. And while I'm not a super huge fan of the Hound's Tooth, it does still look 'Star Wars'-like, and I can't imagine needing more than one of them, so...no harm, no foul, there. The K-Wing and TIE, though...ugggh)

I promised I would stop buying X Wing if they released the Interdictor. It was supposed to.be.funny because it was never going to happen.

I think I'll just get the upgrade cards online from this wave for the Rebel and Imperial ships. Don;t want them at all.

The rush of releases in Summer wasn't planned by the looks of it. Note the release drought they had beforehand. It was everything getting delayed.

These will probably be GenCon releases.

So, three ugly-as-sin ships and the Kihraxz. Looks like the secondary market is going to have a field day with the upgrade cards from these bad boys.

The Hound's Tooth's main canonical. You can't really bash that one.

Oh wow. I'd never seen art for the K-Wing before.

I understand that this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I dig that design. It very much resembles a lumbering old WWII bomber.

The 'Punisher' (lolz) is whatever. TIE ships for the most part just add cockpits or panels wherever. It doesn't look any uglier than the Defender or Bomber to me.

I quite like the Scum ships, but the Kihraxz looks to be basically an X-wing stat wise, with one less shield, one more hull. I wonder what kind of upgrades slots it will have to differentiate it. I don't believe it has an Astromech, which makes this wave strange (and why I expected the Punishing One first instead of the Hound's Tooth).

Huh. the Kihrazx is basically a Viper from BSG.

...I think FFG/Disney had better be cautious about some of these EU designs. That **** could get messy real quick.

It's inevitable at some point, you're going to start getting pretty obscure with the ships. I like the Hound's Tooth and the other scum ship looks ok, I can think of many that I'd rather have seen for the other two (e.g. missile gunboat or Xg-1 Starwing), but then I've never been a fan of the seemingly endless TIE variations.

I've come to a realisation recently that I really have all the ships I'd want, I'm more interested in more aces packs for the movie ships (Y-wing especially).

Ugh. I don't even know. I think 'jumps the shark' is a pretty fair characterization of this wave for me.

This is going to be a polarizing wave for the X-wing community it seems... but as we are all providing opinion, this wave is a no-buy for me. Then again, I also got frosty on Scum and Villainy in the lengthy lead up to release and cancelled that order too though, so perhaps I just reached my limit at the moment for what I care to see on my table. I'll proxy cool cards for games at home, and I will absolutely ABSOLUTELY still buy any Aces packs for Wave 1 through 5 ships, but I just personally don't have any interest in these. There is no disowning X-wing from me though, I am still very excited to see any potential sequel trilogy content, and if they ever end up scratching their heads and going backwards to the prequels I can just siphon cash their way for some N-1s.
