A buddy of mine pointed out that Palpatine very emphatically told Anakin in the prequel trilogy that some Force users had unimaginable powers...even the power to bring back the dead. Let that one sink into your head for a moment. Why might some crazy fool want the old burnt out helm of Vader? Hmmmmmm...
Vader alive in episode VII?
I am very worried that JJ is bringing Vader back. My initial thought wasn't actually because of the voice over, but because of the shot of the burnt helmet. Why was it there? It isn't a shot from the old films. When I realised the thing about the voice over (I didn't notice at the time), I am becoming more convinced there might be something like Vader's clone.
It is the kind of nonsense he gets up to...
Mark Hamill's lines in the new trailer were recorded specifically for that trailer. He also kept screwing up and saying it with "my father had it" rather than "my father has it". https://www.yahoo.com/movies/s/mark-hamill-said-suspicious-j-j-abrams-035442948.html
I read that Luke has gone into seclusion because he's afraid of his power. And his years of being alone has made him kinda of crazy.
Maybe he kept Vader's helmet and is talking to it like the volleyball Wilson. ![]()
yeah I assume they are stealing from the thrawn trilogy in which the hand and saber were recovered and used to clone luke, and then he gives the saber to leia after I believe. Also I do not feel that was from RoTJ (voiceover that is). I think this is saying Luke has some kids. He has no reason to believe jedi are supposed to be celibate as we never hear obiwan tell him and there is not likely much date that survived the purges and I don't see that bit being the urgent info rogue jedi would have worried about saving.
The Kid belongs to Liea who married Han and they had a child. Luke has also been trained by the Living Force of Obi, Yoda and I guess Anakin so Luke is very aware of the Jedi traditions and the real danger of personal attachment from his own father's mistake. Also I will have to agree it is a girl and is the girl we see in the preview. (Not a bad looker at that either.)
If you watch the 6th season of the Clone Wars you will see how the Living Force can retain its identity after death (Considered to be impossible by Jedi and Sith alike.) and the reason Yoda and Obi train to do this is to teach Luke the ways of the Jedi so he can keep the Jedi Knowledge alive. (It's canon.) I am still unsure how Anakin retained his personal identity and didn't just become part of the force like all other living beings.

But even then to become a Force Spirit you still have to overcome yourself and then spend years training yourself for that moment when you die so you do not become one with the force again. Even the Chosen One would have to have some training and Anakin never overcame his Hubris and even in his moment of death he was still just understanding his mistake let alone come to terms with himself.
