Wave 7 announcement today at Anaheim?

By superbabs84321eu, in X-Wing

The K-Wing? The TIE quad pod? Scraping the bottom of the barrel already, are they? I'd almost rather there were no Wave 7.

They scrapped to deep and missed the creme still on the surface.

FFG...

Dug too greedily. And too deep.

You... know ...what they awoke in the darkness...

I actually like the tie interdictor, but that's because I like tie bombers and this is just a double bomber.

Then do I have good news for you !

Next step - bespin cloud cars! :D

OH GOD. IM GOING TO BUY A PUNISHER AND PUT LITTLE HORNS ON IT AND PAINT IT RED AND CALL IT BALROG

Oh dear god, I think I just threw up a little in my mouth looking at the K-wing and TIE Punisher/Interdictor.

That Hound's Tooth looks nice,

though it does seem a bit on the small side, wasn't that thing suposed to be 60 metres or so? It had a small docking bay for Bossk's personal Z95 in the back right?

I actually like the K-wing, not sure about the other two, but maybe with 4 pods the Punnisher has someone who can fire 2 ordnance a turn? :D

Looking forward to these things very much :D

Hey, I just realised something looking at that pic of the TIE Punisher/Interdictor.

"Not final product"

"Pending Licensor Approval"

What are the chances Lucasarts/Disney DOESN'T approve this product? Would that give them the opportunity to go back to the drawing board and give us the Scimitar instead? It might push the release back a bit but... hey one can hope right?

You listening Lucas? Mouse? *waves arms wildly* Anybody???

Scimitar, assault gunboat, missile boat... Anything but introduce something seen once in a AOE2 reskin.

Basically all the prototype ship models for upcoming wave have this plaque, even those from earlier waves, I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. Just remember that they would've known if they can use that design BEFORE they make the model, announce it to the world and start mass production to stock up for it's wave. It's not like they're going all "Hey, look what you'll be able to buy...! Aaand it's gone." - you don't announce a product that can be pulled any moment by the licensor.

A Balrog made of equal parts disappointment and shame.... (the elves name it KAY-Wiiiiiinng, the dwarves name it not, preferring flatulence.)

Help us Mickey Mouse. You're our only hope.

Chill out, people. The Tie Punisher was brought in to give a fix to the Tie Bomber. They can both be classified as "Tie Bombers" and both use the title card (or whatever it is) that will fix both.

it's a renamed interdictor

Wasn't it known as the Advanced TIE Bomber before that? (Galactic Battlegrounds)

So it's a renamed renamed starfighter.

Both Advanced TIE Bomber and Interdictor are bad names for different reasons. I'm fine with it.
