I suppose since she draws so many attacks, can go off as early as turn 2. Also can kill turn 2. It has. A lot.

Looks pretty solid

my question is why the All/Life split?

I dont really see a reason for the Algol stuff random draw is nice but not when it can potentially nuke the attacks in your hand.

Your missing some 1 drop foundations to allow u to draw more with Ivy.... Life gives you Torn Hero and .... Know when to Talk. And Life and All have access to Hunt for Jin (which is amazing with Razor Bite and Researching the Past)

IMO drop Prominant Noblewomen.... its craptacular.... and with no block

Prominent Noblewoman has allowed turn 2 kills for me. It stays; it may be craptacular OUTSIDE of Ivy but when that Switching Weapon Styles hasn't reached your hand by turn 3, consider yourself dead unless you can pull the kill off. Having both Prominent AND Genius Alchemist allows for a quick kill, faster and more reliably than with Switching Weapon Styles.

Relying only on Ivy's draw is deck suicide . Paul reversaling with a Gut Drill or Astrid reversaling with a Pommel Smash will destroy you if you do. Also consider the times when Razor's Bite reveals a Raging Gnome so your opponent uses their block on it so you can't do anything about it. And there's where the All/Life split comes in; you NEED the seemingly extraneous extra draw power. If Razor's Bite tells me a Raging Gnome is my next attack, it's well worth committing and discarding two cards at random. It serves as a double purpose. If I need a 4 check but my next check is a 3, draw it. In addition, it's something to do when you draw nothing but foundations with Ivy and you're out of attacks and s*** outta luck. Pitch two cards that you obviously don't care for to draw.

Also early game, say you didn't draw attacks. Play the foundations you care about, and end your turn by doing Fatherly Love. Even when it's random discard, you're going through your deck quicker.

Hunt for Jin might make it in the deck, removing maybe 2 of the Brazillian Beauty and one of something else. Mind you, it will most likely wind up as a target for Temporary Being in order to play Artificial Soul or something else that would be risky to try as a second or third foundation turn 1.

Life is needed for Osterrheisburg. I won't add Eisserne Drossel/Robes because I need the space for Path. But a ready Osterrheisburg and one or two Alchemist/Prominents and you can and will empty out a full hand of attacks with no problems at all. If the last is backed by a Path, it's game.

Why run Venom Lash over Leaping Snap Kick or Yi Shan's Leg Sweep?

The one obvious reason would be to get more damage out of Path of the Master (considering I'm already running one attack from which I only gain 1 damage, Swing Kick), but the less obvious reason is the better block modifier and anti-vitality gain. Sure there isn't much vitality gain right now other than Swing Kick and co. but hey. Randomly inserted anti meta is random.

Plus when I was testing a deck the other person played me with a Block 3 Yuri with tons of vitality gain. As you can imagine, my first attack in the string was Venom Lash and I watched as he basically curled up into a fetal position and died from a string of attacks which was enough to kill the 24 vitality, even while having multiple Battle Prowesses and Schoolgirl Innocences in the staging area.

I ran a very similar deck, but I never ran Venom Lash or Evil Sparrow, I stuck with 24 attacks and used Lowdown Neb, at the end of a 10 attack string, Lowdown at a 9 Low for 1 (+11) is hard to stop. Drossel and Robes are great.

Agreed. I'm getting some Robes and Drossels soon. As it is right now, I would only run a set of one of them, or 2 and 2.

I don't like Lowdown Neb because it's only 1 damage. Yes, potentially a lot more, but anything that gives a measly -1 damage can stop it. Man Behing the Mask, Shadowar, Stand Off (lol overkill), Steve, Toughest, Greatest Team... hell, even JJ's form.

It's also a 4 difficulty. Drawing multiples of those doesn't help Ivy's turn.

i have a love hate relationship with lowdown neb too, as you said any damage reduction makes it totally useless.

financial troubles instead of fatherly love? lots of talk about that card though.

just today i realized that pommel smash works really well with ivy too mind you there's no life. if you were playing purely against the new block which doesn't have much life gain then it might be a good replacement for venom lash.

also quick question to make sure i'm not ignorant. if you had no hand and used fatherly love would it just basically be 2 free cards? if so then i could understand why that'd be in there instead of financial troubles...

Fatherly Love is better than Financial Troubles for what I want it. It's used as an emergency draw when the top card of the deck is something I want. If I were to use Financial Troubles, with the opponent knowing I'm going to draw into attacks, will KNOW to discard a card, even if it's a block. Sure, you can bluff, but if I can commit it with Ivy's R when something deals damage and still get to draw 2 cards, Financial Troubles doesn't warrant the risk in this deck.

that makes sence. I never had any fatherly love until yesterday, i'll have to put them in there when i get a chance.

Alright, so what would be a good sideboard for this deck?

I'm not really sure about that one.

Perhaps some Warrior's Path for anti-discard, Torn Hero or Perfect Sense of Balance for anti-committal (although risky as both only share Life and there's only two Life only cards in the deck: Gay Vampires and Swing Kick, and there's more All-only cards, but Temporary Being should help in that matter)... any other ideas?
