The dark lines (Fine Sharpie?) coupled with the solid coloring give a wonderful "comic book" effect to the images. Does that come across IRL?
Edit: just read posts above, and I seem to be just repeating others.

Edited by DanDoulogoswhat are the layer paints?
Yeah. I've seen this similar bright effect on some other guys stuff. Been thinking to try some of those paints. They're really expensive though.
E-wing. Final yellow highlight was a shade too light now that I look at it.

All look nice, but I especially love the bomber. I definately want mine to look like that aswell!
How do you get the black-lining down? Do you start with an all black base coat and then carefully highlight up leaving the basecoat in the lines, do you fill them in with a watered down black in a later step or is it a wash?
After base coating my colours I paint the lines in using a slightly thinned black paint.
Edited by HaedrinI liked the look of your interceptor so much, I painted mine to match - which is another way of saying: Respect!
B-wing from Star Wars Rebels Season 2. Painted ready to give to my daughter when that episode airs (she loves the cartoon).

Those are really outstanding. Great technique.
