Though XWA with updated graphics is hardly an up to date space sim. I'm still waiting for a new X-wing or TIE fighter for the computer. It would make a killing, and if they improved the user interface and allowed things like head-tracking I'd probably never do anything else with my time.

If you have the hardware for them, Star Citizen and/or Elite: Dangerous are amazing modern space sims. Yes, the former is still in development and only has an arena in place at the moment... but said arena is still amazing.
Well saw the trailer but you know the phrase once bitten twice shy. After the scams that were Aliens Colonial Marines and Watchdogs when I see the big words "in game engine" I start to get really skeptical. 
So far I see the same thing where each side one ups the other. Still at the end it is the same message that say this will be no different than any other triple A release that has been for the past several years.

I've gone from being excited about online fps games and then being disappointed, to now where I always expect them to be garbage so that when a good one comes along I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Seems like every game these days has to have gated content (carrot on a stick), and Homey don't play that.

I was about to cry when I heard no campaign... but then I heard Single Player options so I'm gonna be ok.
I'm simply getting too old to be competitive against these 18-25 year old kids anymore. I want to play the game, against an opponent of comparative skill. Single player options vs bots give me the option to do that, so I'm fine. Thats one reason I traded in Titanfall almost immediately.... Awful awful game that you can ONLY EVER play against crackshot teenagers online. Maybe one day a game company will make a senior-citizens-only game console or servers! ha ha!
OK....I have to ask. How old are you? I'm 44 and I have no trouble with Titanfall. Oh, there are times when I just get my butt kicked, but there are times I do the kicking. There generally aren't too many video gamers that much older than myself. I played my first video game when visiting my dad at work on the IBM mainframe back in the mid 70's. That was even before I had even seen Pong.
