Online "Virtual" Gaming - Token, what have you been using?

By MorbidDon, in Rogue Trader

So I noticed a distinct lack of top-down Tokens or heck resources (such as photos of minis from top-down or the like) sorely lacking for 40k RPGs played via say Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds...

What has been your experience - for those who like and prefer play with "maps" online and such.

Not so foriegn, some groups on youtube play Dark Heresy with Tokens and Maps for battles.

Thoughts / Advice

P.S. to Gamesworkshop Staff who may be reading this - capitalism, there's an opportunity here to make more money for your company with just "art", no factories needed just good artists im sure you have in your employ.

P.S. GW would rather give out free titans to every customer than ever listen to community in any matter whatsoever. There's a reason there's no official GW facebook page, all GW youtube vids have blocked comments, and posting anything about business/rules on retail store facebook pages gets you instabanned. They don't host tournaments nor do they support them.

That's the one with the Sprites, right?

yeah, they have to-scale sprites of every model released by GW (ok, some newer might not be there yet).

I began making my own tokens via PrintScreen + Photoshop and the Deathwatch Enhanced Edition game by http://rodeogames.co.uk...

I am gonna make more of these for my online gaming!

We've used Roll20 for a year or nearly. Yes, top-down tokens are very-very good, but I couldn't find proper tokens for WH40k, too. So I use round tokens with portraits ard facing-rear arcs for now.

It's not so cool as top-down token, but it's easy-to-create and enough usefull for battles. For creating tokens I use CorelDraw and Adobe Photoshop. For portraits I use WH books and any pictures from Internet (espicially I love Fallout Tactics Portraits).

Besides, I've bought drawing tablet and going to draw some tokens for my game in near future.
