Engine Glow on CR-90
That's really well done! I'm definitely going to have to do this when I get mine. What colors did you use?

I used the GW washes and Glazes over a white primer base. I don't remember all the exact names of the paints. This roughly how I did it. Kind of worked from the inside out with the brush. Lots of layering to fade and blend the colors.
Step 1 - Base coat white. (Much easier with a spray)
Step 2 - Coat in yellow glaze
Step 3 - Shading up with the orange wash
Step 4 - More shading with the red wash on the raised parts
Step 5 - Touch up with some orange wash in the middle parts
Step 6 - Thin white highlight in the center
Step 7 - Layers of black wash for the carbon scoring
Step 8 - Thin coat of yellow glaze over the area to blend it all together a little more
It's not as impressive in normal light. Natural shadows on the model tend to darken the recesses and diminish the overall effect. However, like the camera flash the right light really brings out the effect. I'm really happy with it and eager to showcase it in it's first game tomorrow.
