The manual says you get 5 conquest for the first quest in JiTD. It says the other quests your starting conquest is stated in the description of the quests. None of the quests say how much conquest you start with.

Do all quests start with 5 conquest?

Answer: I checked the Quest Guide again and it does clearly state this under "Goals" for each quest!
