No, the dot in front of R2-D2's name indicates that it is unique and you can only field 1 card with that name.

This also includes multiple incarnations of a card name, so you also can't include R2-D2 the astromech (on someone like Corran Horn) and R2-D2 the crew member (on someone like Han Solo) in the same fleet.

And by no means is that limited to r2 units. You can't have Luke Skywalker (crew) on the falcon while having Luke Skywalker (x-wing) flying.

"Limited" on the other hand means you can only have 1 per ship.
