did astrid gain anything from tekken? I guess some of Pauls Support...no weapons though.

Anything huge i am blatantly missing?

I would have put Good or Water on her starter version instead of All, those 2 symbols deal more with Reversals than All does >_> I don't think I would have put Good on her promo though... Probably would have gone with Life or something for the random +0-3 speed her R nets her attacks.

Anyways, she didn't gain much from Tekken. I wouldn't even try to fit Financial Troubles into my Astrid, there's little point in it. I'd rather go with a more guaranteed card draw effect like Relentless or Paying's F. I'd rather keep Bloodied but Unbowed in the deck instead of Financial too, but I guess that would be the one to go if I changed my mind. I may try to fit Rivalry with a Bear in whenever I get my hands on some of them though. For the Money will probably go in too if I ever pull any.

"Plus, (name of prominent player) is running Astrid religiously (it is his new Chun-li) so yeah, we need to practice… Things I hate about Astrid. 1) Can’t attack early or get reversal-ed + stun. 2) Can’t wait to attack late because a) she has draw to outbuild you, and b) has more damage pump later on … I’m thinking the best way to play against her is:

a) A OTK strong assault ‘after’ she attacks you and commits out.

b) A really strong agro with attacks that are too fast to be blocked OR with blanking/committing her (rasho or pommel) (no pumped reversals from her, or reversals at all if Rashotep)

c) A strong defense and attack late, again OTK or close to it, right after her first cycle (so she can’t counterattack with super damage pump).

In any case, I am dedicating myself to finding answers to her (hope you don’t mind)."

If anyone cares for my wars against Astrid, namely undermining her to the point wherein she is played as a good matchup for many of my favored characters, let me know and I will publicize my results.
