Some questions from an oldbie

By Stenun, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

How does Darrell Simmons's text work if he is in the Innsmouth Jail? We played it that he just draws one extra Jail card but I could see an argument for it being played that he draws his X Jail cards, selects one, then draws X more Jail cards, selects one, and then picks one ouf of those two ...

I assume that if Wendy Adams uses her Elder Sign to place the thrid Elder Sign token on the board then she fails her personal story ...?

Have we got an official answer about Charlie Kane yet? How about cancelling Cthulhu's attack and whether he still heals?

Dammit, there was another question I wanted to ask following yesterdays games but I can't remember what it was now ... :-)

Let's see, yesterday we faces Azathoth, Chaugn Fagn (or however it's spelt), Nyarlathotep, Zh- ah, I remember! Odd how typing everything out helped me remember ... :-)

If you cancel Zhar's attack, does the First Player Marker move or does it stick no matter what?

Why are you getting arrested in the first place lengua.gif ? I'd say Darrell makes his roll and then draws 1 more and chooses from the whole lot (which could be just 2).

We're still hoping to get a clarification on those Personal Stories (like Wendy) where you can have a Pass and Fail at the same time.

CK is still unknown officially AFAIK. IIRC, Cthulhu does heal even if you cancel his attack.

Zhar's attack gives the FP the Zhar token, if he already has one, devoures the FP. I assume you mean cancel the first attack? I think Zhar token isn't give to the current FP, so FP passes and the next in line gets to be the lucky first victim.

Darell wasn't arrested, he was in Sawbone Alley helping Zoey out. The question occured to me as I was going over the rules of the Jail Cell with Zoey's player who had never been arrested in Innsmouth before.

Likewise, the Zhar situation didn't actually occur, but it occured to me as one player had the chance to get a card that would cancel his attack but passed it up for an Elder Sign instead.

I don't think Darrell's ability helps when he is pitching in help at Sawbone. You get the standard +1 for the arrested investigator IMO. And of course, Sawbone is street, not location, so no-no for Darrell doubly gui%C3%B1o.gif .

Yes, I realise Darrell's ability doesn't work in Sawbone Alley, hence why that wasn't the question. ;-)

Never know with Arkhamites, Sanity could be so low, they skip over stuff gran_risa.gif .

Isnt that easy? Timing conflict so first player decides?

That's an awfully important decision to leave to the first player.
