Wave 1 Figure tokens?

By Fizz, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Now that I have all the Wave 1 figures, (and multiples of the troopers and saboteurs), I cant think of any reasons I would need to keep the tokens that came with the core set other than for sake of completeness.

Can anyone come up with a reason (pertaining to the game) to keep them that I haven't thought of?

You could make an awesome clock.

Han

Chewbacca

Luke

Vader

Royal Guard Champ

IG88

Trooper 1

Trooper 2

Trooper 3

Saboteur 1

Saboteur 2

Wiess

Makes 12.

OH. EMM. GEE. I gotta do that!

The expansions give you more copies of the cards, so you still have the deployment cards to run the tokens of the non-uniques.

You can for a custom campaign if you choose but tokens are not useable in skirmish mode.

Umm.

1) For the Allies you can throw them all in a hat and draw 4 of them at random (representing the 4 green side mission cards required for a campaign)

2) More of a personal touch, but you can glue them to the bottom of the minis they represent. Would be neat to flip over the figures to see some cool art

3) You can play finger hockey with Star Wars characters

I tried haha.

Not useable in official skirmish tournaments. Very, very different to not useable in skirmishes.

Could use them to supplement your tokens from the SW RPG starter boxes.

I am a figure elitist, even if the tokens were legal in official tournaments, i would still have figures. :)

I like the idea of tossing them in a hat to randomly generate *something* not sure what yet....

There's a mission with three IG-88s in it, which tells you to use (shudder), neutral mission tokens! Ew.

Anyway, unless you want to buy three IG-88s the IG-88 token's probably helpful for that mission.

That's why I've got 2 SW minis ig-88's as well as my IA figure.

There's my excuse to buy two more IG-88 figure packs! Whoooooo-hooooooo!

I bet I could buy the pack for 9, and eBay the contents minus the figure for 4 or 5.

Yea, this was pretty annoying.

Same with the Celebration side mission.

"Yay! A Chewbecca figure. Finally. Oh, this mission needs you use tokens to represent other wookiees"

Gotta say, I like the clock idea best.

At least we have the Wookie Warrior pack coming up. That will help in future runs.
