Inquery about "Defeat enemy" term

By Pengy, in Talisman Rules Questions

Hi everyone,

I have a few questions regarding Fate stealer & Rune blade as well as a related Dark cultist question:

As it says whenever you defeat an enemy you may gain 1 fate / 1 life and roll on DC table. Does the enemies on the board count (that is, Lord of Darkness, peasant in tavern, enemies in woods and crags, jailor in dungeon and Pit fiends in the Inner region, Sentinel as well as all others I may have forgotten) when gaining these? So if my DC goes to the jailor, refuses to pay two gold, is attacked and defeats jailor, do I get to gain either 1F / 1L as well as rolling on my table?

Rules are very clear on what is an Enemy:

"An “Enemy” is any Adventure Card with the
word “Enemy” in the card type box." (p. 10

Hooray! It felt a bit cheese at times fighting the sentinel constantly, bit that quite much clears it up, thanks :)

Yes, the red box on page 10 is always a good read when in doubt.
