Need Ideas for an Inquisitor's Retinue

By DocIII, in Dark Heresy Gamemasters

The acolytes in my game will be encountering, and possibly coming into conflict with, an Inquisitor other than their own w/in the next few sessions.

I have the Inquisitor himself mostly figured out:

Inquisitor Sulladan Prynne - a Radical Ordo Xenos Inquisitor (one could say renegade rather than radical) who has become obsessed with obtaining his own physical immortality and is willing to use any means, no matter how foul, to achieve it.

So what I'm trying to come up with now are concepts for Prynne's direct retinue that he takes into the field with him. Any suggestions/ideas?

Hmm, well, I have an adept that will be a backup character for my next campaign.

Eleana Sforza:

The daughter of military nobility, Eleana grew up amoungst heroic tales of battle and dark whispers about the terrible and mysterous xenos her family and their friends had sought. Soon, these enegmatic figures became Eleana's escape from a life which combined strict military discipline and the decadent treachery of the court. Her father, never one to waste talent, sent her to study tactics used against Xenos threats at the Colleges Hetairea Lexis. There, her curiosity ran wild, and while her successes brought her father's approval, it also drew the eye of the Ordo Xenos, who have taken her in to ensure that her scholarly investigations stay on the right side of the Golden Throne...or at least, as it happens, of Inquisitor Pyrnne's own adgenda.

(Noble Born Adept, Colleges Hetairea Lexis package, probably relatively high fellowship and both Calaxian Xeno-Arcanist and Bonded Emissary if her rank permits).

I've got a potential Scum ya might could have traveling with the guy.

Mercucio Garvel:

A Metallican Gunslinger, Mercucio has earned his nickname of 'Sureshot' in a hive where life is lived by the gun. Never staying with the same group twice. He's been feared throughout the lower hives as a hired gun fighting alongside gangs such as the 'Dragon Skulls', 'Acid Spiders' and helped make the 'Bronze Rogues' a gang worth remembering now. He's rarely ever recognized, known for wearing a bullet worn black leather fog jacket, a dark green bandanna over both his head and face. Interesting to note is his recorded addiction to stimms, and a old tattoo on his left arm marking him as a member of the 'Metal Howlers' company in the Metallican 25th.

(Gunmetal City Born Scum, no bonus package, mainly a high Balistic Skill and Agility type, possible Metallican Gunslinger. 'Course you could choose not to include that.)

Xeno-Loreseeker Reymund Neblinn

Reymund Neblinn was raised as the third son of a pair of magistratum scribes on some coreward imperial world. An introverted and silent kid, his past time gravitated about reading. Access to some books was part of the benefits once enjoys if born to imperial middle classes Especially the penthrift dreadfulls he where able to get hold on. Young Reymond developed an appetite for two things: the alien and gruesomeness.

First thing was hard to get hand on, and the secound he was never able to quench quiet right. Born feeble and frail, he never was a brawler and the seldom shows of the carnivora and the pits did not slated his lust. As he was old enough to start working, he tried hard to become an aid to the enforcers. Not as member of the patrols, whatsoever. He wrote down protocols and confessions and was eager to make a good impression on the "Inquierors" (tortur masters). This was the professons he aimed at, and he was successfull.

To feed his other thirst, he what his official job gave him to get into contact to the "grey trade", spending all of his modest wealth on aquiering illustrated books about xenos or "arts of unknown origin".
It was this later activity that brought him to the attention to this one Inquisitor. He was simply at the wrong place in the wrong time. The place was a back storage rooms of some shady liberary and the moment was a meeting with the person seeling the forbidden fruit to him. The wrongness was the assasine that appeared out of the shadow.

Reymund stood still and did not moved, as told. His business contact tried... and Reymund watched calmly as the blade of the death cultist disarming that man... fingers first and the way down to the should in not eve half a minute.. The next person coming out of the shadows was somewhat impressed by the will Reymund Neblinn was mustering. He was taken prison and questioned. Familiar with the process, he decided to talk. He knowed that this would not spare him.

But the Inquisitor was impressed. Not by the skill, not by the wisdom. It was the will and the potential. Reymund Neblinn was given a second change after he was first declared missing and later declared dead on his homeworld. The function he serves know is that of a sage and knowledge store and that of an interrogator. In both, Neblinn lives up to his masters expectations
