My apologies if this has/is already being discussed in another thread. I was wondering where you guys think the other three Pro Tours should be. I'm not quite sure if the U.K. is being factored in. If so I'm not proficient with playgroups and local geography so I'll leave that to the experts across the pond. For now I will assume that one Pro Tour goes to the U.K. and the other two should be:
1. U.S. west coast - California has a healthy player base, as does washington and I beileve Arizona too. If we wanted something as reasonably centralized as possible, I would say Nevada around the Reno area. If we want it closer to more dense clusters of UFS playgroups I would say anywhere between San Francisco/Santa Clara/Sacramento would be fine.
2. With South and West covered, I think the last Pro Tour should be in either Ontario or Michigan. The goal of this last Pro Tour is to pull people from New York, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ontario, Quebec, Ohio and surrounding areas.
Let me know what you guys think. BTW is anyone else greately pleased with the way we ripped off the name Pro Tour from MTG? As bison would say "It's Delicious!" I've heard that some people are worried that UFS will degrade if it starts to mirror the large events for magic. To be honest I couldn't be more happy. Those events can be quite fun. The thrill and challenge of facing off vs. up to hundreds of other players who fought like hell to get there, amazingly fun side events with cool prizes, tons of other players to trade/mingle with, the experience of crashing another city with your friends and not knowing where your going half the time. This can only be made better by the fact that UFS players are generally much more friendly and sociable and have a good time. If your 16-32 man regional kicked ass, just imagine how much fun a 100+ man Pro Tour could be (gotta be optimistic).
