Are they going to put reprints of the new rules in the boxed games or are these just going to be purchased? I am a new player wanting to buy a boxed game.

Since they are also promising a new boxed edition, it is safe to say the newest rules will be included.

Will wait to see if they offer an upgrade for current TH owners to get a special price on the new box. It would be nice, but not as likely as it was for Runebound, which was strictly an FFG game. TH being acquired from TOY, I wouldn't expect them to feel obligated to offer an upgrade.

I don't think there will be anything new in the box other than the updated rulebook. The new rules will be available to download for free, or a printed copy for $5.

I expect FFG to change the content of the box, not just the rulebook. If not then it will be a "Revised" edition not a true "Second" edition.

Wait and see then.

I am sure that in NEW prints of the Tannhauser main game will include the new rules.
