By I. J. Thompson, in Game Masters

Okay, my play-by-post campaign has been underway for a couple weeks. I haven't GMd in over ten years, and that was WEG Star Wars. Slightly different systems, you could say. :P

Just wondering from you experienced blokes with time to kill, what do you think about this game I'm running? Am I squeezing all the juice out of this system that I could be? Am I making glaring mistakes? I'll give you the link to the game thread,

GAME,

but you could click around there and read all the other details, if you're so inclined. I'm not asking for story specifics, but just wondering... am I getting the most from EotE?

Any help here would be hot! (Jar Jar quote kills thread.)

I took a look through the game. It looks good so far. The problem with PbP games is the slow progression. In this instance not enough has happened for me to fully answer your questions. Instead I'll offer you a link to my PbP game so you can see how I am running things. That may give you some different ideas. There are 5-6 FFG starwars games going on this board so you can get ideas from several GMs and games.

A few points I noticed. having your group stranded on a planet with no memory of how they got there and their only transportation falling over a waterfall was a great opportunity for a fear check. even a minor one to get the characters/ PCs nervous.

Traveling through a jungle can be verify difficulty perhaps have the players roll a survival check to determine progress or getting lost.

I am finding that asking for a lot of roll can slow the game, but it does offer the players a chance to participate and let their character shine. Double edge sword so the above suggestions may just bog down you game depending on how you want to run it.

looks like you have a great group and an interesting game going.

Looks good to me.
