Holy crow this is totally legit...Chance favors a prepared mind...Just got off the phone with customer service...Shipping mine out today...

If its legit, there's going to be a bunch of happy people. If not, we'll just return stuff and wait for the actual release. No harm, no foul (aside from our hopes...).

I ordered two Victories from the original deal and they showed up in the mail today!

I imagine the ISBNs don't match up. Wonder if they'll honor the price?

this is absolutely hilarious! They've sent out a whole wave of IA by mistake, and will now have to also honour what was advertised and send out the correct Armada miniatures to everyone free of charge.

Pretty sure if they don't honor the advertised merchandise/price, that it falls under the bait and switch category, in the legal sense. They screwed up, and now they're gonna have to eat those losses.

Well by tomorrow morning hundreds of packages will be opened in eager anticipation and a a loud cry of pain will insue...Either your spouse will be beating your head with a 10"stiletto or you try sticking your head in a microwave...

Call customer service ; they will be flooded with an onslaught of irate and befuddled costumers...Apparently thier inventory item # was incorrectly inputted into their system...They should send out a return label and the refuund will nott be swift ; so be prepared to wait 2-3 wks at the least...

Pretty sure this is not what will happen. I mean, it was more than obvious that no shop on this planet would dish out wave 1 boxes before the official release and that cheap. Even if a shop would get hands on some boxes prior to release, nobody would sell them 50-60% off when they pretty much have a monopoly on the boxes at that very moment. Human error, with that many red flags on it, pretty sure is also not covered by the bait and switch thing.

What to expect: Refund and free return shipping.

I would think you might be able to get them to send you the proper code. Instead of demanding your money back and claiming legal action, just politely let them know they shipped you the wrong product number by accident. They'll probably put it into the system that they need to do a product swap and that'll be the end of it. I mean this is a fairly large chain of stores, and I doubt their customer service has any knowlage of the situation beyond stock numbers.

Yeah but when Wave 1 DOES actually hit store shelves I'm not going to wait for shipping, I'll go to a local store and get it THAT DAY - so I'd not be happy with a product replacement, I'd want a full refund.

I guess depending on what you bought you've got options. But a $9 VSD, I'd keep that if I had the chance!

I only ordered a corvette and a Nebulon. Considering that they were each 9, and I paid for expedited shipping, I'll take the refund and buy them locally and the cost would end up being almost the same.

I had an experience (I don't remember the store name but it was not with gohastings) where I ordered an expansion for a game from a seller on Amazon. When it arrived, it was from the right game but the wrong expansion. I called the seller and explained the mistake. They offered to pay for return shipping and give me a full refund. However, since the item I received was not totally useless to me I offered to keep it and just have them refund the difference. They agreed because it was simpler for them too. My money was back within a couple of days.

My point is that the customer service people did not create this problem. Someone who doesn't know as much about Star Wars games as you or I made a mistake. That's all. Don't blast them when you call or email to complain. Work with them and I am sure they will offer a fair solution. Especially since it was pretty obviously a mistake to begin with.

And that's not directed at anyone in particular, just a general plea for sanity.

I let them know about the snafu, and it sounds like they intend to do regular refunds rather than exchanges. No doubt because they have no stock to exchange and because it was some kind of mistake.

I will advise they do an exchange in my return, but my guess is that they will not honor the original sale.

Kinda wondering what is in the corvette/neb box. Guess I'll find out in a few hours, for the corvette at least.

Corvette turned out to be an IA Han Solo pack.

Edit: Got a response from customer service within 20 mins. Full refund including shipping upon return of item. Standard stuff. Unhappy that it wasn't the Armada ships, but that was a long shot.

Anybody know what is in the Neb box? For me personally, I had intended to get the IA expansion anyway, the price was decent, and my FLGS just will not order things, so I'll probably just keep mine. Just curious what the Neb will turn out to be.

Corvette is Han and the Neb is Chewbacca...If you go to the site and click on tbe pic it comes up what is really being ordered now...

Just talked to customer service. They're aware of the error, and for me, canceled the order and said I should be getting a full refund in about 15 minutes. They also said that for anyone whose package has already shipped, they'll send an e-mail with a pre-paid return address on it and will give a full refund once they receive the items back.
