Shapeways Quality?

If you mean the round ones, then that would be Gale Force Nine, scroll to the bottom.

Now THERE'S an interesting subject for discussion; GF9 are producing models for the mass market clearly based on Star Wars material. How long before they get a C&D?

Edit: Love those cargo containers BTW Fanbus. Quite surprised by the price though, would love to see an image of them alongside an FFG model!

They're currently being printed, so I should have them here in a week :D

Z95's arrived, look good too. **** though Gosric, those barrels for the Mk4 S-Hg are tiny.

I'm very glad you like them. Sadly the barrels had to be that small otherwise the wingtip gunpods would have been too big. I toyed with making them as 2 styles of pod to make them bigger but that would involve more material and therefore more price which wouldnt fit with my goal to be as affordable as possible *L*

Oh, I'm, not complaining, the barrels fit perfectly and look just the right size alongside the other Z95's, I'm just amazed it was able to print components that small!

There are ways that trick the computer into reading them as printable like very small flanges around the barrels that dont show and wont appear when printed but will make the initials scan read them as thicker. That wont work for longer barrels as they would be too fragile. The barrels on my E Wing are about as long as i dare go. The triple barrel Headhunter has even thinner barrels but since they are so close together and have the supports it reads them as one and therefore they print. It was a bit trial and error to sort that stuff out to say the least *L*

Cool, honestly im just really glad you guys can do this.

I was just amazed that FFG allow it to be advertised on their forums.

I'd understand if you had to be 'shifty' about it but you're all very open.

You make great stuff too BTW.

I think LFL/Disney are probably harsher with the cosplay stuff. There is a lot of 'props' on ebay but its usually chinese companies who just dont care about IP infringment.

I know putting my TIE pilots costuem together accurately was a nightmare as nobody sells the stuff that 'openly' and you sort of have to ask by word of mouth and have people recommend manufacturers on forums etc

The only thing you can get officially is the helmets etc and they are usually slightly incorrect and need conversion work.

So cheers guys, question answered. I hope you have every success making more and more cool stuff!

Dont suppose you know anyone who makes the rebel tower cannons from hoth in xwing scale etc?

Google 'anovos'.

Founded by cosplayers and licensed by the companies behind Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, and Star Wars (and a few others I'm sure, but I'm not thinking of). At this point, Disney/LucasFilm has pretty openly embraced the cosplay community - particularly through this company (they made the First Order Stormtrooper costumes seen at Celebration - and sold them to a hand-picked few of the 501st). Although, the costumes turned out by them may need tailoring to meet 501st standards of fit.

I'll post pics once the cargo containers are painted.

Really? My order from April 27th STILL hasn't shipped. Grr...

Did you ever get your stuff, Nightshrike? I ordered a couple of ships on the 16th and they've already shipped, though to be fair, mine was a much smaller order. I was wondering what you thought of the other Clone Wars minis.
