I've been trying to work with the new Ivy for quite some time now, anyone who knows me knows that she's my fav character and I always have a deck for her put together (no matter how bad she is). I've tried this Ivy out many times, several times for each symbol she has, and each time she just couldnt cross the finish line. However now with rotation in effect and tekken hitting, I've decided to try her again and so far this deck has been doing very well (though there have been a few really odd games where I completly play it wrong and she still somehow ends up killing.)

I decided to go with life, since she just works so much better on it, not to mention I have some better choices for attacks other then just her stuff (I hate building a deck, and as soon as I pick a character theres already 20-30 that have to be in the deck, especially attacks)

This time I've decided to not use Raging Gnome because... IT SUCKS, almost every game I have played with her, RG has been nothing but a 3 diff 2 damage attack. I always draw it at the wrong time and am forced to play it in order to get ahold of more attacks, so instead Im using Yi Shan's Dragon tail leg sweep (say that 10 times fast), which works better and fuels searching for family.

Hunt for Jin is also a great card in her, combined with either Razor Bite or with Researching the Past I can get just what I need and know what is coming up next.

I'd hate to say it this way, but Raging Gnome only sucks when you're running less than 20 attacks.

My Ivy deck uses it to great effect... but it runs 28 attacks. Hell, if you're willing to run many attacks, Raging Gnome will almost always be 3L7 or more.

I've tried up to 25 attacks while using Gnome and it was really the same situation, except I would either only draw attacks (never any foundations) or couldnt get ahold of a SWS until it was too late to be able to pass the check for it. I've found that anymore than 20 attacks (atleast for me) becomes a problem.

I may just put them into my side deck as a just incase but right now I perfer the attack line up right now, only real change to them right now would be a 4th copy of Yi Shan's attack

thanks for the comments though

I think hoping for the best will help you a ton. It will let you organize what you draw. It helps a lot. It is something I'm working on with Christie.

What do you plan on doing when you face off against Rashotep?

The problem with Rash is that he will stop Ivy's card draw. So damage pumps may be needed. But other card effects may be required.

Basically I would need to then get out a few copies of Hunt for Jin and Searching for family to take care of what I would lose from Ivy. Also having out some Researching the Past wouldnt hurt either. However atleast for now, no one at either of the stores I play at is running the old bag of bones. (thankfully)

also damage pumping with Regretful Existence has worked in the past to be just enough to kill if say I for some reason cant use Ivy's ability anymore.

3 drosels is a waste when you can use a robe of the grandmaster and have both out. I personally feel like you might need something that helps you kill that isnt Ivy tech for rashtep, like a lowdown neb or something, because what you have for damage pump is also to easily canceled out, specifcally relying on POTM against rashotep and his new asset wont get you too far.

Also would find space for terrain that suits you, its becoming rather important.

tiras castle seems like it would fit that bill pretty well
