So...I was playing against fight or flight yestorday night and did the FoF enhance get changed back? I heard from my friend KawaiiMistress that it was played differently at worlds. I thought you couldnt not reduce from below printed back to printed and then double the dmg. For example going from 0 back to printed (or anything below printed) back up is not a reduction but a gain.
Fight or Flight
An increase is not a reduction. If the attack is below it's printed damage, FOF won't increase it. Well... the second part where it adds to the printed damage will, but the first part won't.
I was just talking to her and apparently she was playing antigoth? i dunno she said that is how it was played at worlds
For the longest time I thought Fight or Flight worked the way you stated until against one opponent at Worlds where they told me I could use my fight or flight to redouble my attack's damage that was below printed.
This match was not against Antigoth, not sure where James got that idea from now that I think about it.
Fight or Flight has always worked the same way, because 'Reduce' and 'return' are two separately defined game terms.
Reduce requires that the value be above the end value. If it is below, it does nothing. Take Rejection. It didn't set the attack's damage at 1. It reduced it to 1. If the damage was less than 1, it did 0 damage.
Return means WYSIWYG. If the card has no printed value for whatever it is (ex: Holding Ground on a Multiple), it is 0.
Fairly easy distinction, with no presedence for change. If the affected attack is below its printed damage value before the E is played, it stays at that value. If the attack's damage is above printed, it is 'reduced' to printed. After one of these things has happened, the attack gets the damage pump. Easy.

Actually the last I heard, even if you were below printed damage, it would still give you the damage pump. You resolve as much of the effect as possible. Not %100, but that's what was said the last time this was brought up.
Your 4 printed damage attack that's currently at 2 damage would get the +4 but it wouldn't get returned to 4 before getting the +4. So 6 damage, not 8.
this is what i thought
