My Tekken 6 cards arrived. Woot! - The UK version

By Cascade2, in UFS Uk Forum

Well I put a topic up on the main site, but since people might (only might) know who I am on this forum, I thought I'd do a redux here. Here's the link to the main topic:

www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp

Essentially it's this:

I quit UFS, it's no fun for me anymore, and I wish I'd make the decision before pre-ordering Tekken 6 packs a few months ago, seeing as I haven't, all my Tekken 6 cards are going on a certain auction site, free to be bid on by players on both sides of the Atlantic.

It's been fun at the times I've been able to play, the Sheffield lot are great, going to 2008 Nats was amazing even if I did get diversified out (FELIX!!!!!) and it was an amazing event meeting the Colchester group at PotM. Have fun with UFS all those who're sticking with it, for however short it lasts (my opinion).

Ja ne!

Really sorry to hear that mate - you've been a big part of the community for a while now, and I'm sure we'll all miss you.

Shame you've already listed the auctions - I might well have been able to just offer to buy the lot of you for what you paid for it all!!

Kev B

It's a pity you've decided to quit, I can understand why you've done it though.

We will all miss having you at the Sheffield tournaments now and then, are you still playing other games so you'll be at cons and things?

Well, I hope your auctions go well so you can have a lot of money for what you plan to do next!

- Ross

Thanks for the kind words Ross.

I'm thinking about getting back into YGO, not to the full murder-someone-for-cardboard degree, but if I can find a deck I like running that doesn't cost me my left ******** to build (that's the good one), I know a strong playgroup with a lot of my friends in it so I should be going to big events, hopefully we'll cross paths again if both games get some floor space.

I still wanna play a few more rounds with you guys of that wierd zombie game with the hands, and fire et al.

EDIT: Also Ross or Kev, if you can find someone who's interested in my 4-point cards and can arrange for postage then I'm happy to be rid of them for free.

Lol, I was so confused when I read that. I think you mean Zombie Fluxx since I remember playing that with you on one of your visits on a Sunday. There's a shop demo copy in Patriot so we'll have it whenever you're in the shop.

Well, I should hopefully see you at Game 09, Gen Con 2010 (if it exists), etc then?

I can think of a few play groups that would be interested in your cards, but I'll wait to see if Kev responds before making any suggestions. Since all of your cards will still be legal for it, are you going to UK Nationals by the way?

- Ross

Unfortunately Ross, I will not be attending UK Nats, I am starting a new job this week so I will not have the time off for it.

OK, hope to see you at other conventions, etc then?

I'd suggest Shannux-Echitie (maybe I even spelt that right...?) or Mr Bump, both of their player groups play non-mini block format and they're always looking for more cards for their players. There's also a new player group growing in Ripley, but I'm not sure who you'd contact for that. I think Justin may unofficially be their scout. So if anyone is willing to pay the postage I'm sure they'd all be very happy with your spares.

I'm not sure whether Kev has any other suggestions?

To be honest, those seem like the best options Ross, although personally I think it's a bad idea to do this sort of thing, as it means that any players in that group that intend to play in standard format events will be at a disadvantage. However, that's just my opinion :)

Kev

No, I know exactly what you mean. The reason I suggested those groups is that they normally don't play competitively and their usual formats are already legacy format, so it hopefully wouldn't change too much. If anyone mentioned above is reading this, maybe a quick PM to Cascade....?
