Clarification on Pegasus cards, Gas Cloud destination and Major victory?

By Oomjah, in Battlestar Galactica

Hiya,

long time lurker, first time poster!

First off, my friends and I just played the Pegasus expansion and I've got to take my hat off to FFG, it's cracking! It adds an awful lot to a game that we all love but were starting to find a little bit predictable. We had a couple of questions crop up during play that I'd like opinions on before our next game happy.gif:

- Gas cloud destination, "The admiral may look at the top 3 cards of the crisis deck, then place them on the top or bottom of the deck in any order". Do all the cards get placed as a block of 3, or can they be split up, e.g. 1 card at the bottom, and the remaining 2 on the top (in any order)? We ultimately thought the wording suggested that all 3 have to go to the same place, but "...in any order" left enough doubt to post the question.

- Major victory, "Play after you destroy a basestar or a centurion on the boarding party track. Roll a die. If 5 or higher gain 1 morale. Limit of 1 major victory card used per turn".

The problem here was the word YOU at the start - does it need to be the player that made the kill that plays the card, or can it be anyone? We decided that the the person who destroyed the basestar/centurion had to be the one who used the card, but we could also see that it could just as easily be anyone... After all, if president Roslin can't declare a major victory after a basestar is nuked, who can? gui%C3%B1o.gif

Any thoughts would be warmly received, thanks!

1) You can place the cards in any order - one below and two on top, for example.

2) Yes, you have to destroy it. It's your major victory, after all ^^

We ran into the exact same two questions when we played. I believe your first question is very much open to interpretation and any confident answer is conjecture. This being said, I actually lean the other way and believe that all three cards go to the same spot.

I do agree with Stefan on the Major Victory question, and this is how we played it also.
