5 attack dice turret give it a try you might like it

and its been very effective I put Guri to one side flying around getting behind my opponent and have Palob and Kavil slowly move up Palob stoping Focus and Evade actions or taking them then Kavil shooting 5 dice at them. Its a nasty list full of surprises if you're not careful. tell me waht you think

Good but be careful of those who would focus a HWK each turn. Palob is the easier target I think. Shuts down Opportunist mostly. Actually, either of them are fine first targets.

Good list though. I'd just try and add Hull or Moldy Crow for more survivability.

I've run YWings a lot since scum and blaster turrets on y-wing just don't work well and they dislike stress even more than a defender. Y-Wings are second only to HWKs in ease of blocking, no action, no shooting and with only a 1/2 straight to clear stress... Kavil's a lot of fun but I think the only effective way to run him is with an autoblaster turret, unhinged and maybe an engine upgrade. Expose/opportunist would get you 4 potentially unblockable dice without the need for a focus(which an opponent's Palob could steal).

the points on Virago could imo be much better spent on a recon officer for Palob. Even with moldy, blaster will eat through those tokens fast.

plus, Guri doesn't really need sensors. Her low PS and pilot ability (+predator/LW) generally take care of it

Ok, please excuse this newbie- BUT I have heard alot about "blocking" and I'm not real sure how one would "block" in this game???

I've been seriously contemplating running Expert Handling on Palob, but with an ICT. That way I don't have to worry about focusing. With EH, I can strip a TL which can further help his survivability. Throw a K4 security droid on him and I'm good to go.

Blocking is using a lower PS pilot to themselves in the potential flight path of your opponent causing them to bump into you. By doing this you deny your opponent actions and it gives you limited control of his formation or ships.

AAHHH. I see said the blind man.... very clever. As I read it in the rules it never occurred to me to use it in that manner.

I have found I dont want to run Guri without Advanced Sensors but that is most likely because of my play style. I love bosting foward then moving bumping one of my opponents ships the get the free focus and shoot the ship behind that one not many people expet that one

I'm not that big a fan of Autoblaster Turret allways having to be in range 1 ???

how i like to fly Kavil and Palob is to keep people behind me so they either bump me or keep moving into range of my Turrets I find the way this list works is stopping people from having good defence by taking or stoping focus and evade tokens alowing Kavil to shoot 5 red with target lock to shoot at that weak defence it can be more efective HLC Dash

the only thing I would change is Autothursters but that is because I have not taken it against a turrent yet

Oportunist + blaster turret is bad mix, unless you are Rebels and have Garven or Kyle flying around. You get one 5 dice attack and you are stressed, so getting focus next turn kinda hard with Y-wing dial. With unhinged astro has more chances of giving regular damage.

Opportunist and auto blaster turret seems more the way to go. Add in EU on Kavil and you get extra maneuver to stay out of arc. That is 4 potential unevadable hits with dice modifying if you don't have to spend your action on EU. Maybe even throw in unhinged astro mech for all those 3 speed green moves to clear stress.

R4 argomech gives you a free target lock when you spend a focus to activate blaster turret 5 dice with target lock can and does take out a lot of ships fast .If not move 1 forward and shoot them again

So your opponent knows exactly where are you going next turn. Also no shootin after K-turn, tactician locks you out of game for good and fun stuff like that
