Flying Carpet and Riding Horse.

By Jamos, in Talisman Rules Questions

The rules for the flying carpet state that on a roll of 6 the character can move to any space in the current region. The Riding Horse allows you to roll 2 dice and add them together when moving.

How does this affect the carpet?

ie can you only use the carpet if you roll on die and get a 6 (how we played it) or if you roll a 6 total using 2 dice while using the horse then you can use the carpet.

thanks!

You cannot use the carpet and the horse together.

If you roll for the horse, then you must use the horse only.

When you decide to use the Riding Horse you roll 2 dice. After that you can't decide to use the Flying Carpet instead or to regenerate if you're the Troll. You cannot use the Clockwork Owl as well, because you're already riding! Same applies to Speed Spell.

Thanks,

This would be good to add to FAQ

We also play that you must choose whether you are trying to ride the carpet (1 dice) or riding horse (2 dice) before rolling. We play the same way in regards to Death as well. In our games you only get to move him if you roll a 1 while only rolling a single dice for movement.
