Mephistopheles and Avatar of Justice equivalent for Good people?

By CookieMage, in Talisman

How come this has not been addressed yet? :P

Mephistopheles gives 1 craft to bad people, convert the others

Avatar of Justice gives 1 strength to neutral people, convert the others

There should be something like this for good people, like

St. Gabriel

Event

St. Gabriel the Archangel appears to you in a vision. If you are good, gain 1 Fate. If you are evil or neutral, he converts you to good. He then ascends to Heaven – place him on the discard pile.

The Rapture:

Event

All good characters are killed and ascend to Heaven. You do not win the game, but you win eternity in bliss.

How does that sound? :)

Cards that mirror each other are certainly ok and we have several examples in 4th edition: Angel/Devil, Sword of Light/Skull Wand, Theurgist of Light/Dark Theurgist, Ivory Sentinel/Ebony Sentinel, Heavenly Host/Infernal Legion and many others.

However, even the base game has little differences between Good and Evil characters, the most notable being Holy Lance and Runesword, and Events that mostly favour Evil characters. Sacred Pool expansion did something to balance out the 3 alignments (e.g. adding Glorious Hymn and Equinox to mirror Evil Darkness), but I think they don't necessarily have to be treated the same way by the game.

I actually like cards with no equivalent for other alignments, even though it's important to keep the alignment-related cards evenly distributed between the 3 alignments.

Is there anything equivalent to the Holy Avenger Follower (from Dungeon) for Evil people? HA forces you to attack an Evil character if you land on them, gives you a bonus in combat and if you win, gets tossed for IIRC permanent +1 Str and Craft.

I've been thinking about this sometimes and I came to the conclusion that there are more events favouring evil characters and more permanent craft items and ways to gain craft from the board in the base game comes from older editions (before fate and craft trophies). This to balance out the strength trophies and the chapel (which was way better than the graveyard before fate was introduced). But now in the R4th Edition I don't see a problem with FFG adding cards to counter Mepistopheles and similar cards but it's in no way necessary to do that.
