So, who went to their local gamestore for international tabletop day? How was it?

I couldn't make it, I had to work so I took along the LotR LCG and had a solo game.

I had a good time. Brought home a Han Solo promo, which is good because I narrowly missed out on that one a few months ago.

Didn't play X-Wing however. Played Space Movers with the game designer, and played Battlestar Galactica for the first time.

I did! Had a lot of fun, and yes...got the Han Solo Promo card as well (plus bought my Chewie for Imperial Assault that day).

Though I mostly played Tokaido, MtG and Super Dungeon Explore.

Not to derail, but I love the BSG game. Usually, games designed after TV shows suck. But this one is done really well. I even paid full price for it.

Sadly I couldn't go either. Friends of mine went, They got the Han Solo card, and even brought me a little present:

BSG and Spartacus are 2 of the best games around IMO.

I went but it was a little disappointing. No X-wing at all.

On the plus side I did meet with the senior buyer for the store and she is willing to source whatever would sell and is happy to set aside play area for gaming.

We ran an X Wing tournament that day, I was the TO, good turnout, great event. The final was 2 aggressors versus 2 aggressors, riveting stuff.
