Hey all ! Just wanted to create a space to throw down pictures/words for the my repaints when they're underway. I tend to work somewhat slow .. But, I can't ever put the brush down for long.

I intend to try and make each post useful, with descriptions of techniques and including my materials used. I'm not a real high level painter, but do enjoy the results I can achieve with the time I've put in over the years.

The YT2400 is completed (for the most part). Don't see myself putting too much work on this guy anymore.

I think he's referring to the Black Sun symbol on the side he added. Since it's Black sun colours. Looks Cool.

Really like the stripes on the YT-2400.

I don't trust my freehand skills.. I have to become more familiar with the symbol before I'd give it a try. A few weeks ago before I started, i experimented with the symbol and some variations but I dunno If want to go that area.

That would be ideal though as these are supposed to be Black Sun colors.

It's a tricky symbol to freehand with all those spikes.

I purchased some painting masks from a guy on eBay. It's basically the Black Sun symbol laser cut into masking tape or something similar. So the idea is you stick it on and paint in the gaps (or airbrush). He does other symbols too.

When they arrive and I try them out I'll try put a picture up here. I'm converting all my Scum fleet to Black Sun colours, so no way I was gonna freehand that many symbols.

Malev, when I try to view this thread using any type of Android system, it can't seem to handle the pictures. A regular desktop computer is fine though. Are the pictures perhaps overly large, or is there perhaps something else causing problems? In any case, if it is indeed the pictures, I would recommend downsizing them somewhat before uploading them. Threads like this can get really cluttered with pictures and the last thing you want is people ignoring your thread just because it's too pic heavy to load.

Macross, sage advice my friend. They are OBSCENELY LARGE.(really).

But, thanks for that, I'll adjust because.... naturally I don't want none of that!
