Love your battlereps! Keep'em coming!
Great batrep...for rebel scum! ![]()
Excellent, thank you!
These batreps are always fun to read. I look forward to more!
Haven't gotten my core set yet so I haven't had time to play anything out but is it possible to win by striking and then flying out of bounds (hit and run)? Or was that just for dramatic effect?

Ships and squadrons that go off the map are considered destroyed. On the other hand, flying out of range is possible.

Awesome thanks Sidious. I thought that was the rule but his description of his ships going off to hyperspace confused me but I guess he meant he flew them out of range.

The game also ends after turn 6. In my first game, I set up pretty much the same way in the LTP diagram. The VSD ended up getting distance from the two Rebel ships, although it would've been destroyed if they had had time to catch up with it.
Yep, nobody flew out of bounds here, they just got out of range for the last turn of the game, and that was that!
Why didnt the first VSD slow down and the one behind increased speed? With Tarkins free tokens its easy.

The maximum speed of the VSD is 2.

He still should have slowed the first down and sped up the second immediately... Or heck not have spaced the two out so much for a non objective token match. He was defeated in detail.
Imperial player was as green as possible, that was highlighted at the begining of the battle report.

True, I may have come off a bit harsh. Mainly looking to use it as an example of defeat in detail.
I have only played this game a little bit, but the one thing I think I have learned about tactics, is keep your ships together and concentrate fire. Ships can shrug of a little damage every round, but that same amount of damage concentrated in a single round can be devastating. Like I said, I have only played a little bit, and I am just beginning to figure the game out, but this battle report seems to confirm my findings.
The pictures have made it clear to me that I must paint the bases and stems, black. Been trying to find a good images of them bunched together to see how they look.
Might even pimp out the cardboards while I am at it!
This reporting is just atrocious rebel propaganda, and will be reported as such on HNN.
Even if it all *really* happened, why would it be reported as a Rebel victory, when the terrorists failed in their objective to take out the flagship thanks to the heroics of that line Victory?
It boggles the strategic mind as much as it reels the loyal conscience.
(Actually, I really loved this batrep!)
@Krank- Yes, I am very glad I did it. I also applied a gloss coat on all the parts that would touch cardboard.
@Mikael- You can't stop the signal! Oops, mixing nerddom again!
