About the Tekken Prereleases that have happened?

Either nobody went to them or everybody is totally underwhelmed with the cards?

It'd be nice if pigeon acually did a pre release :/

Well, I've only had a dabble at the cards themselves, due to pulling a *Cervantes* starter deck, and finding the only cards I could play were Kazuya's and some of King's support.

Enimies now Friends is BRUTAL in either a Throw deck or a Reversal deck. In the former, it's a little easy to predict, but in the case of the latter, Lu Chen's suddenly become worth playing again.

What's up with King and locking your opponent out of the game? He can get things to the point where the opponent won't any cards for a turn, but to be honest the amount of effort put in is well worth this kind of reward. Cards with long requirements or high difficulty like Reverse DDT and King of the Ring (yeah, wrestling fans will LOL at that one) are the one's I am referring to here.

Still on the subject of King, Mexican Sensation is pretty borked for him. Okay, I'll discard a throw to power up the one I am resolving, then oh look I have no throws in my hand! I'll play the one I discarded!

As for the rest of the characters, I like Kazuya's idea of "I have momentum, you have a staging area - oh wait no you dont!", and Paul's idea of "are you gonna let me beat you up now or be committed out when I do it later?" not too keen on the two ladies though, they seem like their quirks are moving in the wrong direction according to my style.

Oh yeah and if you get your hands on a Promo Bryan, have a go at playing him. He looks like a lot of fun for good old school aggro.

nina has some good cards but not really support for her ability but there is a reason for that cause her ability screws over decks as theo has made one and i am sick of that stupid ability GRRRRRR. and i have made christie she may be flimsy but dam she is fun and i love her 2 rare foundations

Yeah, sorry Ricky! Me and Jonathan will argue against you about the ladies.
They may not seem at first as good as the other characters in the set, but the speed Christie can get her combo out and the efficiencey of making sure your killed by it is insane (the only reason Nina is going 50/50 games is because she discards the combo off the top of Christies deck as much as possible)
We have also found that Ninas support may not go with her ability too well, but it is a great asset to go alongside it. Discarding the most important card off the opponents deck then playing an attack and either making them lose life or another essential card if they block is great, sweep the floor is awsome too, especialy with keeper of the watchers, and making the opponents RFG pile larger than yours is surprisingly easy for Ice Pick if you dont mulligan (combine Ice Pick with POTM for more unblockable damage!).

As for the Pre release, i managed to have way over half my deck made of Tekken as i pulled a Talbain from my Darkstalkers pack. He just wouldnt die, oh no you put me down to 10! next turn i gain to 33..... woot to that, aslo somehow he manged to pull off 5/6 attacks in a row at least once every match. I fell in love with Pauls stuff almost immidiatly and also Mishima Zaibatzu Leader is awsome, some other cards caught my eye during the games that i had originaly only put in for the 5 checks etc.

I am now playing a Block 4 Nina and having great fun with it although i think Jonathan is getting bored of not getting any attacks in hand anymore... (although Jonathan has sworn me to secrecy about Ninas 2-1 win against his Guy deck he is playing for Nationals......OOPS!)
