So, in Milwaukee we had our pre release. Ours was a bit different because we had 5 people and we ended up buying 5 boxes and all of us wanted to play a different character so out of the boxes we gave whoever wanted to play character, there support. So, I wanted to play King. So out of the 5 boxes everyone gave me all of the King stuff. Onto the pre release stuff though.
PAUL CANT BE STOPPED. Going in to the pre release everyone thought Kazuya would just ****. He ended up getting raped by Paul. Paul dishes out 20+ damage turn two with doing little to nothing. All of his stun was just dumb. Now out of the pre release where Paul can actually run Pommy and Zi Mei's Wheel Kick, it's over.
Christie, a letdown. I'm not sure how others were able to do with her, but she just wasn't doing anything. She was giving all of her attacks +3 or 4 speed but all of the attacks were only 3 damage. Compared to the other stuff, she just wasn't anywhere as good. But of course since I'm saying shes bad someone probably already has her built and will win worlds with her next year.
King. Man, did I have fun with him. He just tosses you. Over and over. With that high vitality and some of his reduction, he just tosses you to death. Oh, and he combos everything with everything.
Kazuya., the beast. So, Scott Gaines basically summed up Kazuya in the video of early rotation from gencon. "What are we gonna do about Kazuya? He's gonna play out his whole hand, blow up the world, it's over." Seriously though, his attacks are STRONG.
Nina. So, our Nina player couldn't show up today. I fronted Nina instead Rashotep in my normal block 4 deck. She doesn't live up to any of her hype. Sniping really wasn't that effective.
That's basically it. Watch out for Paul. He's stupid good. And of course, chances are people are going to reply and say zomg Christie is too good your saying shes bad. Well, prove me wrong. That 18 vitality just gets destroyed in this new meta. Tekken made it so much more aggressive.
