hand size

By DOA362, in UFS Rules Q & A

when a card asks about hand size does it mean printed or current? I can't find a defnition anywhere. This is in regards to King's new throw.

If a card just says "hand size" then it means that players current hand size. If it says "printed hand size" then it means printed hand size.

Nice, so King's DDT is a good card then. I always just assumed it was printed, silly me.

There is an easy breakdown here:

  • Hand Size: Your current handsize. This takes into account reductions (Reverse DDT) and bonuses (Tower-Degredation).
  • Printed Hand Size: What is on the character card.
  • Cards in hand: Not considered hand size or printed hand size. Only comes into play when a card says something like "only playable when your opponant has greater/less than X cards in hand."

That pretty much will tie up any confusion.

Thanx that's what I thought. Other games hand size means what's in hand at any time. I thought UFS was different.
