Hey all, New here, Thought I would add some of my efforts to the forum. They are not nearly as good as some I have seen, but they may be used for inspiration perhaps. I gave a few of my Ties some elite style markings. 
Showing off my simple efforts to make fighters less plain.
I picked up 2 core sets so that I would have enough for a full 300 point game on each side so I have plenty to experiment with, So I tried a lot of different things with my X-wings, and then tried just a blue scheme with my Corvette. I think most of it turned out ok, considering they are so small and you will mostly be quite far away from them when viewing. A heck of a lot better than unpainted plastic. lol
Nice job! Did you also magnetize the CR-90?
LOL No sniper, I am going to tho, That is actually just some sticky tack holding the model in place temporally. I had the misfortune of dropping one of my 2 Corvettes 12 inches onto the desk with its base attached and it snapped that little peg on the bottom of the model clean off and stuck inside the clear base. Gonna dremmel the thing out and magnetize it later tonight probably. For now tho the sticky tack holds it in place AND has the added benefit of letting me try different flight positions. lol Thanks for the praise, keeps me going forward. Gonna see what I can do with one of the Nebs next. The dark blues in these pictures look more black I am noticing now too. Hmmmm.

Define magnetize?
What he means there is placing a magnet in the top of the stem of the base and on the bottom of the ship. By doing this you can, if you do it a certain way, change the angle of the ship to get different flight effects. Its also just a really good way of putting ships on bases. You can remove them quickly, safely, and easily for transport and then when ready to game snap them back on in a second.
Great stuff mate! Really love it when people share their minis, I think you've inspired some with this. At least me! I like your ties! 
Thanks man, Ive been working on the new fighters from the Expansions, trying a bit harder on these to get them to look "right". Will post some results in a day or so. Not quite feeling like the are show worthy yet. lol
